Is this even possible at this age?

Nap/sleeps have always been a battle, and we've tried everything but never seem to be able to manage a sleep without tears of some sort. I.m determined to get this cracked before nursery in a month but seem to be getting nowhere.
Have just put her down for nap, and have to frequently shhh pat/use mobile to get her to sleep, which can take ages. I know she is tired beside if I were to pick her up she'd fall asleep almost instantly.

Well she's now throwing herself around in her cot, bouncing, kicking, visibly launching herself at the bars. I'm going in at two minute intervals and laying her down again, but it just seems to be making her angrier.
Is this even the right thing to do?
She has faught sleep from day 1, but honestly at 10 months I thought it would be easier by now. I anything it seems harder. I'm worried that she will just end up not napping at nursery and coming home an absolute mess because she is so over tired.
Help!

Can she self settle at all?

My 10 month old used to cry before naps and bedtime until I did the Ferber controlled crying and now he goes down like a dream, maybe 5 mins of light fussing (although he has started waking and playing in his cot for about 1.5 hours a night, but that's a different story!).

It sounds like she needs to learn how to relax by herself. She might know that her actions cause you to fuss over her and therefore will just keep acting like this until you stop. Sorry if that sounds harsh! :)
