Cute but practical animal type outfits for babies

Wasn't sure where to post this, but hoping someone can point me in right direction.

Friend had a baby boy last week, given our connection and backgrounds, I'm looking to get him a cute little outfit, hopefully something a bit novelty without being a fancy dress costume, something like a baby gro & hat set or sleepsuit - something like a lamb with ears on the hat. Something fun but that she can actually use as normal day to day clothing. Had a search (Amazon etc)and have only so far come up with a little vest & hat with ears set in various animal prints(zebra, bee etc) but for about a year old, and a pea pod sleeping bag (again for bigger sizes) Was thinking 3-6 months size as he's quite a big baby & I'm sure she's got loads of stuff already for first few months.

Any ideas? (Also not wanting to spend loads on one little vest when I could get a few nice things for same money!)

Dollyrockers have a few things that might work?

Or Noo baby - an Aussie brand that I think may make the stuff on the link I just posted. You might find a better Uk stockist than Amazon if you google?

Might be worth looking around the high street shops or even supermarkets - years ago now but DS had an adorable set from Asda of all places, fleecy little trousers and hoodie (with ears!) in a cow print design in soft brown/cream and the t-shirt had some kind of picture of a cow/milk/something along those lines.

It looked like they had 0-12 month sizes :)

Although with a coat type thing it might be worth asking your friend as if she has one already in the size you buy it might not get used... also the reviews say it could be a bit warmer, so perhaps one to buy ahead for the spring?

Nooo! Don't do it; it is just wrong to dress baby as animal. Hate it!

Babies r us do car seat wraps in various animal designs, including bee, bear, lamb, ladybird etc. they are like a fleecy blanket with legs that wraps around baby. Could also be used in a pram or at home if v cold.

We also have a gorgeous soft thick pramsuit from Boots - a white bear. Great for this weather but would be too hot by mid spring.

Love all the snugly bear ones in Next etc (say a baby wearing one the other day - looked so snug!) but I presume she'll have something like that for just now so I'm aiming to get this

Oh I never even thought about Disney store, good idea! I've seen a photo of him in a tiger striped babygro (no hat though!) so I think she should like some cute little outfits!
