Cot wedge in side cot????

Would this be ok or a really dumb idea?? DS is nearly 5 weeks & suffering from colic/reflux. We have elevated his moses basket but have now moved him to a side cot which is flat.

Any advice welcome - after 3 nights of approx 2 hrs sleep I have lost the power of rational, logical thought!!

Look on amazon - there are plastic wedges designed to put under cot legs to raise them in case of colds etc....but will that mean your mattresses don't line up? Hmm. Any help? X
