Hi Folks,
DS is a mid january birthday boy, did anyone have any presents at Xmas that their 5-6 year olds adored?
DS loves moshi monsters (sigh) and dinosaurs. He os just on the cusp of learning to read, his manual dexterity is not great. He loves to sing. He got an ipod touch for Xmas and I was thinking maybe a good set of audio books? At a loss really as I used all my best ideas up at Xmas.
Thanks!

Our ds is 6 now

There's a great dinosaur, reference type book I've seen in waterstones. Loads of pics and info. Nearly bought for our ds but bought George's Marvellous Medicine instead!

Lego
Scooby doo figures and haunted house
Play doh
Hot wheels
Jumping beans
Creepy magic set
Nerf guns
Soldier figures and play set (tanks, watch tower etc)

He didn't get all this for Christmas, but these are his favorite toys.

Loved transformers and marvel until about 6 months ago. And I mean LOVED!! Have 2 boxes full of them.

Also, colouring books, felt tips, craft things he loves too.

My ds is 6 too, his favourite Christmas presents were:

Child's tablet thing
Nerf gun
Lego
Messy science kit

If he's already got an iPod touch, the tablet isn't a good idea.

Has he got a bike? Or a scooter?

Ds likes Lego ninjago, nerf guns, etc but his favourite Christmas gift was the skylanders giants game he got for the Xbox.

Playmobil or Lego but Also my son is into science/experiments etc so he got lots of horrible science games..one of them is to make a brain, then you colour it etc, the other one is about making Volcanos/noisy explosions they cost from about 9-19.99 pounds..he loves every single one of them.

He's 6 soon too and he's not into xbox or ds yet, but he also loves playing drafts/chess so depends what your little boy is into.

My DS3 will be six mid january too, his favourite christmas present was an overhead projector because he loves to play school, but that's probably not much help is it? LOL

He also loved the easel from ikea with a roll of paper - it has a whiteboard on one side which he also uses to pretend he's at school.
