Can babies have rice krispies?

DS is 8mo and i give him dry rice krispies to feed himself but i'm wondering if he can have them with milk as 'breakfast' some days he has a bottle in the morning about an hour after he gets up then goes back to sleep for half an hour, when he gets up we have breakfast but he's not interested in his porridge as he's had a full bottle not long before. So can i give him rice krispies since he's had a bottle?

This usually happens about once or twice a week he's a bad sleeper so if he's had a bad night he just wants a bottle and sleep most days he has toast and porridge.

I think you need to check the salt content.

I'd be worried about them being inhaled if they're eaten dry, so light and small. With milk would probably be ok if the salt content isn't too high.

I don't see why not but you could look for a reduced sugar/salt alternative when you've finished the current box. I bet he loves them :)

My DS loved MultiGrains at 8months

Yes, babies can eat anything except honey and whole nuts. Just need to watch salt content. Max 1g salt per day under 12 months.

The low sugar/salt weetabix/oatabix were very popular in our house too.

Mine loves Crunchy Bran - either dry or with milk.
