When to move into a cot?

I have no idea where to post this, but maybe someone can help?!

My DD1 is 3 weeks old and I think she is waking herself up by twitching her arms and hitting the side of the moses basket as she likes to sleep with her arms by the side of her head and stretch them out.

Is 3 weeks too young to move her into her cot? Unfortunately her cot is too big for our bedroom so she would be in another room. That doesn't bother me, but I don't really know what to do!!

TYIA!

There could be any number of reasons at 3 weeks why she's waking in the night, moving her into her own room might not make any difference.
I'm not sure exactly but I think it's recommended that they stay in your room for the first 6 weeks at least (I'm not sure where I've heard that).
If she wakes up because she's flailing her arms around I would imagine she'd do the same in a larger cot.
Does she wake a lot in the night?
