that's 2 times this week (and it's only been a 4 day week) that I've been late to pick DS1 up from school (next door). On Tuesday I had a lie down as I was feeling really sh*tty, set the alarm but don't even remember switching it off. Woke up at 3.30 (they officialy come out at 3.15 - but it's normally 3.20) and dashed to get him. Thankfully he wasn't the only child left.

Last night I worked, set the alarm a little bit earlier, in case I fell back to sleep to give me a chance to wake up in time. And woke up at 3.37 with the doorbell being rung and someone banging loudly on the door. It was the next door neighbour. Turns out the school has tried to ring home, but got the answer machine, so called DH, who in turn called our next door neighbor, who came and woke me up.

Pulled on the first clothes I found - no socks, slip on shoes (that I use for work LOL) and dashed round to get him. He was most definitely the only child still there

Could you be pregnant? I get that tired when I am?

Do you work nights? Are you getting enough sleep?

last week, I fell asleep after dropping dd2 at nursery, woke up at 3:15pm, the kids finish school at 3:10pm, I dashed into my car and drove to the school, poor DS was in tears and another mum was comforting him. He thought that something had happened to me. DD1 wasn't even bothered and neither was DD2. bad mummy..

DS1 wasn't in the slightest bit bothered, according to the head he was "wonderfully philosophical about it" [frown]

MTS - yes work nights - usually get enough sleep - but had the flu (the joys of hindsight hey it only struck me last night that I've had all the flu symptoms - I only realised I had PND when DS1 was little once I'd been through it, diagnosed, with DS2) for nearly 2 weeks and am just getting back to 'normal'.

Did this when I was heavily pg. Had to run/waddle to school. Tried to make out I'd been to antenatal clinic but my darling ds had already told the teacher I 'often slept in the afternoon'. Anyway the run did me some good as ds2 arrived the next day
