Robinw -we've been with Worldonline/Tiscali for over a year and have never had any problems. The package suits our usage and we like the fact that if we use it for longer, it automatically upgrades to the next level. We usually pay about 10p a month over and above the line rental for calls, and that's with 5 active web users in the family and my mumsnet addiction!

Robinw, after the computer had to complete wobbly, I signed up with BT Internet, it costs £14.99 per month and has unmetered internet access. I know someone who had Ecossetel and had to remove it as it was annoying other programmes on their computer. The guy who sorts our computer also told me to stay well clear of AOL6.

Tigger - I use AOL6 but after what you have just said I think I will get changed over to BT asap (I was thinking of doing it anyway).

Robinw, dh corrected me, apparently upgrade to next package with Tiscali isn't automatic, you have to inform them. We have the 50 free hours a month package (£5.99) and it's enough for our usage. We rent a second line through Servista, used to be Worldonline, but when they were taken over by Tiscali they no longer provided the telephone line, just internet access.

Robinw - Like Moona I have also been using Worldonline/Tiscali. BT are a con - if you can get any info from them, never assume you get the whole picture, 'cos you don't! Tiscali are very reasonable and I've never had any probs. I pay 5.99 per month for anytime useage, and have never gone over the hours which are part of the package (can't remember how many you get. www.tiscali.co.uk

We use vispa and it's 14.99 a month ALL included - as many hours as you want any time of day.... It's [email protected]
We have been with VISPA for almost 2 years I think -and are very happy.
