Anybody Live in Newquay

My husband and I love Newquay. We visit as much as possible, my husband loves to surf there. We plan to move to Newquay or very close surrounding areas (Perranporth is a great favourite). We feel it will be a better place for our son and future children (fingers crossed) to grow up. Does anybody have any comments ie what the schools are like etc etc. We plan to move as soon as we can (possibilty of my husband having his base there) but this could be a few years.

as a child i hated cornwall i went to newquay treviglas school, very good school and the school bus picks you up at the base where your husband will be or at st eval where the mq's are there is also newquay tretharras school persnally this school is a dive with not very good exam results. also if your husband likes surfing there are a few better places than perranporth, try going to constantine bay or bedruthan steps,if you would like any further info plz mail me (lived in newquay for 15 years)
