I hate Christmas shopping and will plan to do as much as I can via the internet.

Has anyone out there got any good websites that they can recommend for presents for all the family?

Thanks

www.play.com is excellent for CDs and DVDs - cheaper still than Amazon and no delivery charge.

Hi TBD (sorry for shortening), let me know what kind of presents you're looking for and I'll try thinking of some good sights for you. (I work with Internet and surf a lot)

Hi ticklebyday
I have got a lot of new presents cheaper than I would in the shops on eBay, very addictive! but u have to keep an eye on it (some mad people end up spending more in there than they would if they went into a shop!) that and woolworths website.

If you check the 'Bargain' thread you will get some ideas eg. £10 off John Lewis on-line if you spend over £20. www.Thebookpeople.co.uk is extremely good value. For kids gifts I love Letterboc (www.l-box.co.uk)

Amazon are doing free postage if you spend over £39 (easily done when buying a couple of CDs and couple of books), think it is before 12th of December or near that. I plan to get a stack from them for Xmas pressies and must remember to order soon.
I also like John Lewis and Next do all their stuff online too which has all clothes and their homeware stuff. Early Learning Centre for younger kids. White Company for expensive, mother-in-law, type pressies. Hamleys are also online, the mother of all toy shops! If you do www.google.com and use this search engine it will bring you to all of these.
The internet - a godsend!

My brother sent me a CD via Amazon for my birthday. I opened the parcel up and a medium sized black spider ran out!!! Not sure what the superstitious would make of that!

Just a note re Amazon... All the stuff has to be delivered in one go to qualify for the P&P free offer. Came a cropper, as I needed one book next week, and one of the other books is on a 1-2 week delivery, and I couldn't risk the first book being late, so I've had to put in 2 orders, thus negating (OHH Big word for a Friday night!) my plans for free P&P....

So, order now-ish!

Hi OuiOui (and others)

I am looking specifically for a doll for 20 month old dd and pirate things for 5 yr old ds.
Any ideas?

Also, any cheaper ideas/sites for stocking fillers.
