Relationship with laptop..

I have a feeling that DP thinks I spend too much time on the internet - I think it may have been his comment last night that gave it away :- 'You have had a better relationship with that laptop than with me in the last 6 months.'

Ooops!!!! It is all Mumsnet's fault. Also hasn't helped that yesterday I had to move the laptop into the bedroom due to a fault on our phoneline - must say I was tempted to log on when we got into bed last night but thought better of it after DP's comment.

I assume I am not alone in this one??? Please say I am not!!!

No you're not alone, rest assured. Sites like these are addictive, particularly if you don't get much adult company in your day to day life. When you are at home all day you need someone to talk to and its great having people on hand to answer all those questions that pop up - someone on here generally knows the answer. I am rather nosey by nature too and often tune in to find out the next installment in particular threads.

ellasmum, no you are not the only one, I think PamT has put it rather well, and is usually my excuse to DH when he comments.

I'm sure I would have a much cleaner/tidier house if I used nap times and video times to do my cleaning rather than checking Mumsnet.

No, you are not alone. My dh has finally suggested that we get 24 hour access rather than 6pm - 8am because I log on to mumsnet through the day so often! I love finding out what is going on and keeping up with threads. He doesn't understand, he has actual people to talk with at work, whereas all my conversation revolves around 'you be the baby, I'll be the Mummy .....'

I love broadband because it means everytime I pass the dining room, I just can't resist having a peek to see if there are any new interesting threads!

DH always seems to catch me there as he comes through the door, and says, 'at your usual spot?'

We actually have all three computers on broadband, linked wirelessly, so I do use the others and have different pages open on
each !

My problem is being unable to resist the challenge of answering someone's question.
