spoke to my superman this morning, he was about to be pounced upon by physios so wasnt best pleased.

He has had a new IV in, so hoping the central line will be out later. He seems so much better, and is joking about. Cant belive its been a week since our lives changed within moments. He is hoping to be home in about 4-5 weeks, if all carries on well. I cant wait to see him, and give him a hug with no wires and tubes getting in the way. To have him back in our bed, the bed we bought and he slept in for about 3 weeks only.

i am thinking of writing a letter soon to the donor family.

So pleased for you & Peter and the girls, Misdee.

Is there enough in the collecting fund to send you two for a romantic night away when the time is right, as well as Butlins?

hopefully he wont have any machines or wires UCM. a heart transplant friend of ours, has been on dialysis for a while and just come off it,. so we know its not always plain sailing. but with peter making good progress and his kedneys functioning ok so far, its not likely.

Fantastic. Like others I missed what happened because I was on holiday last week, but then I got the drift from your thread for ideas about DD2's birthday and did some searching.

The future's bright. The future's pink.

We need a new smiley - like this.

Are you allowed to give identifying details to the donor family, or do you have to be anonymous?
