Premature baby clothes online????

have just been speaking to a colleague who is 34 weeks pregnant and likley to be induced anytime ( Pre Eclempsia). As it is her first she naively ( as I did pre-dd!) thought that 'Newborn' size would fit - just be a bit baggy as dd/ds will be premature. Now dd was 6lbs at birth and newborn DROWNED her - so I pointed out that she really is going to have to get some premature clothes - easier said than done as she has been allowed out for 24 hours but is housebound! She does have access to the net but isn't a regular user so I volunteered to try and find out where she could buy online - Any ideas ladies??? And quickly please!

I have just been sent the Vertbaudet catalogue and saw that they have a prem baby range. The website is www.vertbaudet.co.uk.

Just looked at www.mothercare.co.uk. They do 'tiny baby' size clothes ie. smaller than newborn. HTH

Mothercare also do early baby which is smaller again.

Has she thought about buying the smaller nappies as well - the only shop we found that did prem nappies is tesco, but luckily they deliver!.

I think people often donate tiny clothes to the SCBU at the hospitals - so they will probably have some. There's also a charity which will help with tiny clothes.

Or online they're available from www.sprogsonline.co.uk/Pages/Products%20Premature%20Wear.htm

Thanks so much everyone - my friend was so touched - she hasn't any experience of online mothers sites and was utterly amazed that people could want to help and were wishing her luck etc. It also did her good to hear a few similar stories -it underlined that ''its no big deal'' which is what she needs to think right now as stress is not what she needs to keep induction held off for as long as possible ( Hoping to get to 35 weeks)Thanks again from my colleague!

Bayleaf - don't know if you have Gymboree near you but they do a good prem range as do all the other ones previously mentioned. If your friend does deliver early , BLISS are very helful , they are a support group for prem babies. Otherwise any questions she's got , I've had two prems - 32 wk and 29 wks so don't hesitate to ask. Regards to you and her .MABS

I had 3 prem babies (all at different times lol) DS was 5lb 2, DD was 3lb 12, DD2 was 3lb 8oz, Mothercare have a good range of premature clothes, so do Boots (large stores) Woolworths do a little. Boots and Tescos both do prem. nappies but even they can seem big!!!!!
Most SCBU have clothes that other parents have pass onto them (we done that after DD2) But have kept a few bits.

Hey, I was going to mention the Kids Window as I am the webmaster for it (but then I thought that would be blowing my own trumpet). I feel famous!

I love The Kids Window, I've bought dd loads of stuff from there and the service is fab. And the web site is great - easy to use and the pictures don't take years to download. Lucy, you must feel dead chuffed (you should do!)
