BIL to be has text me in a panic....he's got my sister a gift already. But it's kind of an "in joke" gesture gift that she will love, but he wants ideas for sentimental. So any ideas you lovely lot?

I received a beautiful diamond and sapphire necklace - too beautiful to ever wear in every day life!

And I bought him... nothing! Completely didn't even think about it. I know, awful person!!

I bought my husband tickets to see a gig he was desperate for, I gave the other one to his brother so they could go together. He loved it! I got nothing but wasn't bothered, I only got the tickets as I'd seen them and wanted to buy them for him, it seemed like a good excuse!

Thanks for your suggestions. Smile. I wonder if he would treat her to an experience or somewhere she would like to go...

Comedy the necklace sounds beautiful!! I'm sure being married to you was the best present you could give back anyway Wink

Jewellery for a groom to bride wedding present is always good as she'll treasure it.

I got diamond earrings and matching bracelet, they are beautiful.

I bought him a Raymond Weill watch.

Diamonds will probably go down well!

Well he is massively into football in a big way & she's slowly over the years gotten into it, after years of jokingly telling her he would do...so she's got her first football shirt with Mrs xxxx on the back. But yeah I think jewellery would be a lovely one. I've also seen those boxes of "married life" things if you know what I mean? They have silly things in them that all mean something

A present? We didn't do presents, apart from our vows to reach other, we gave each other a wedding ring!! Is this a new thing?

No present here from me to him or vice versa. We were a gift to each other. I wouldn't spend more money than the wedding and honeymoon are costing!
I'd rather have a proper 50/50 partnership with childcare and the household stuff than an extra gift on the first day of my marriage.

I completely agree the whole vows are the most important thing, however I know many couples doing this & he really wants to get her something. I know my sis has got him a little something for night before too.
