Whatsapp group of new Mums beginning to grate on me...

Hi,

Need to have a rant.
So, I am part of a whatsapp group of 12 mums who met at a post natal group and I am beginning to get so annoyed with the daily updates of who is weaning on what, endless pics of what babies are up to, competition between Mums as to who is doing what first, i.e. Crawling, walking...
I swear there'll be a pic of the first shit in a potty.
I'm a first time Mum and I love it but I've never been a fan of oversharing, I go to work and if I don't reply it's "hello? Are you there?". I leave work and have 50 msga
I have muted the group because I know that if I leave questions will be asked and tbh I really like a few of them but they all insist on doing EVERY activity TOGETHER!!
Also, they gush about how all our kids are going to grow up together and go to Uni etc together.....really? They aren't even 1 yet!!

How many of you more experienced MN's have made friends and then regretted it or on the other side, have any of you stayed within a big group as your kids grew up?

Hi TobleroneQueen!

I have no experience of the topic however I am currently 23 weeks pregnant with my first child and this is the sort of stuff that concerns me for the future so I am looking forward to seeing peoples replies and advice so that I can save it for the future.

I just know that this is going to be me when I have my baby! I too am not into oversharing and don't feel very mumsy so I am worried that I won't fit in with other mums!

I hope you manage to sort your situation soon!

:)
