when to start ttc dc2

Firstly, apologies to dump this in other subjects. Maybe I've missed the correct place for this type of topic, but I couldn't see one that was obviously appropriate. I did look in conception but it seemed insensitive to post there as the threads were all about ttc dc1.

Dc1 born Autumn 15 - csection which complications afterwords. Difficult recovery; infections, heavy bleeding, had my first day free of pain week dc1 turned 6months. Owing to medical issues that arose during pregnancy I think it's highly likely (but not a definate) that any subsequent children would be born by section also.

In an ideal world would like 2.5 years between children (ideally 3-4 kids if we can conceive again). Not sure how I would cope with toddler if unwell again after section?
when is best to start ttc? exactly 9 months before what would be 2.5 years between children? a bit earlier, in case it takes a while? but then what if it happened straight away? (dc1 took almost a year to conceive).

I know MN can't answer these questions. But I just wanted to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation? What did you do? How did it turn out? Would you do the same again, or what would you change if you could?
