I havent yet tried one, a couple of worries hold me back, but i noticed on then menstration threads a lot of people seem to use them.

So please , if you flow heavily (have to put sanpro to use before youdry after a shower or else it gets messy) how do you take the mooncup out and rinse it without making a mess? And if you are in public toilets where the sink is outside how do you manage?

I used one a bit after having my son but got pregnant again sooner than expected! I didn't completely get the hang of it but it definitely has potential. Getting it in (and especially out) takes a bit of practice certainly.
If you're in a bathroom taking it out, rinsing and putting it back in is relatively straightforward and you could learn to do this in a few seconds with practice. Best if you can reach the sink from the loo but not essential.
Doing it in public toilets is less convenient. The leaflet that comes with it suggests taking a bottle of water into the cubicle with you.
I found it much easier taking it in/out sitting on the loo than standing up.
Worth a go, as long as you're open minded and don't mind a bit of trial and error. I used panty liners at the same time as mine for a while to catch any leaks before I got used to fitting it correctly.

You get better with practice. I need to be sitting down to remove it so I tip the contents out into the loo as soon as it's out and therefore no chance of it splashing anywhere else.

If I'm in a public toilet cubicle I just wipe it with toilet paper and then reinsert. You don't have to rinse it every time if it's no convenient to do so. Some people carry a small bottle of water in their bag to rinse when out and about but I don't feel it's necessary. Obviously wash it properly when you're at home.

I'm just on my second month of using my mooncup. I'm really heavy with massive gushes too and Tbh since using the mooncup I've hardly known I've been on! I hardly have to empty it Coz it holds so much more than even the biggest tampon.

I have found mine easy to get in and out only leaked once.

I say take the plunge you won't regret it.
