Get some ear defenders...they make the sound more muffled and not so scary...we use them for our ds.

They are about a fiver in clas Olsen (sp?)

Or send someone outside to do the fireworks, and you and your dd stay inside in the warm and watch out of the window.

Telly no good it doesn't smell right.

"Pretty lights, Horrid noise" was what DD said when small.

I like fireworks on my Birthday which is after the 5th and wish they'd lable them better as the lady up the road has horses. She's alway fine with us having fireworks, but I'd much rather it didn't sound like W111

Wonderful, I'm going there now, will have a look smile

Tesco have a 'noise rating' for the packs they sell, might be worth a look.

That's actually not a bad idea! Might just get some movies off t'internet and "burn" onto DVD smile

(sorry)

Yes, just watch them on TV with the volume off.

Bump

Can anyone tell me whether they exist and where I can get them from? It's DD's 4th birthday on the 5th but she doesn't like the bangs and I hate the effect they have on animals in the vicinity too.

TIA
