Magazine Subscription?

Im looking at subscribing to either Mother & Baby or Practical Parenting & Pregnancy but do not know which to choose.
Has any one subscribed to these before? Can anyone recomend either of these or perhaps another magazine? Are magazines even worthwhile? Would i be better with a book or just sticking with MN?

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated and i apologise in advance if this has already been covered but i could not find a similar thread.
