Isle of Wight Holiday holiday with only child (5yrs)- where would be a good place to stay?

OK - I know lots of poeple want a peace and quiet on holiday and in an ideal world so would I BUT ds is an only child. He has no cousins who are less then 10 years older than him. We moved house area last year and haven't made many friends yet.

DS has just settled in reception and we have frinds over in the week but our holidays tend to be just us three. That is fine sometimes but I want a week in May where ds can play with other children.

We did 5 days in a holiday camp last year but to be honest it was mostly organised activities that ds was bit young for. And in any case I didn't see many children playing out together, in fact the play was really quiet during the day. There were lots of organised activities but I'm looking for something a bit more casual as ds is still a bit young for a lot of these.

This year I want to stay somewhere that has social space that encourages children (even fairly young ones - 5/6 years old) to play outside together. I want to see ds play with other children. It does my heart good and ds loves it. He is still young enough to like spending a lot of time with dh and I but I want him to play with other children and make friends while he is there.

I would actually like to have the noise of playing children around. Too much quiet gets on my nerves a bit (obviously a bit is nice!)

Has anyone stayed somewhere on the Isle of Wight (or other places in the South of England) where this happened?

Have a look at Nodes Point caravan park on the IoW. It's a Park Resorts site, so has a couple of hours organised activities for the children each day, fairly low-key stuff - games, craft activities etc. Parents can sit and watch, with a cup of coffee, or join in. In the evening there's about a hour of kids entertainment - party dances, games etc. in the bar. Children congregate at the outdoor play area too, and there's a swimming pool.
It's a bit cheesy for my taste, but the DC love it!
And then you have the beach, and the rest of the island to explore.

I work in a school and one of the children was telling me about this place that she goes to every year with her family. She said she plays a lot with other children there, although she does have siblings.
