Goodness, we seem to have run out of space on the other one!
I shall assume that we are still in the same premises as for Tea Room Ten for the moment until wiser people tell me otherwise!!

Am not sure if we're ready to move yet, but would anyone like a cup of tea or coffee???
I'd love one. Up at 4am to get ds to Italy (or rather to the airport coach to Italy). Very tired. Suspect it will be riotous, as ever. Usually they lose some at the airport, more whilst abroad, and ds has to blag his way back on transport home again because the leaders have had to go off in search of the lost students and still have the tickets.
And I was on the tele last night
which was not what I was expecting. Serves me right for going to the local Bishop's publicity event...
15 minutes of fame, eh? <<hands hot drink over and asks for autograph>>
More like 3 seconds of it!
Ooh, one moment I was being clasped to MadBad's ample bosom (it was a bit of a clash of ample bosoms) and the next moment I'm in a new, but suspiciously familiar looking tea room.
Chocolate chip bun to go with the tea and coffee anyone?
DD shut one of the kittens' paws in the door earlier - she didn't want him to get in the conservatory, and instead of turning round and shutting the door gently, running the risk he might make it into the conservatory and have to be ejected, she slammed it behind her without looking. He seems to be okay, and she is back to shouting at them both after 15 minutes sincere contrition.
<<Hoists ample bosom in manner of Les Dawson housewife>>
<<Offers DCMKitten a consoling stroke>>
Oh how lovely, Amber. I had noticed that the other thread was very nearly full but was stalling for time, as I didn't want to be the one to decide what type of joint this was going to be. This is good timing for a move, I think, as the recent <ahem> boisterous threads seem to have attracted a few new posters, who I'm trying to lure in here, and I think newbies sometimes find it intimidating to join a thread which already has 800 posts.
<<Gratefully drinks tea>>
<<Looks for Amber on iPlayer. Curtsies>>
<<Goes off to pin a notice on the door of Tea Room The Tenth>>
Ginormous threads are also a nightmare on my iPhone, takes ages to load, and there's no quick way to skip to the bottom of the page! Actually i should just flip the thread if I want to know the most recent posts, shouldn't I? Hee.
DCMKitten has ALMOST stopped limping now, so I think no realy harm done.
The Tenth Tea Room is so full that I couldn't even pin a note on the door, but I'm sure people will find us here. I hope they will. Especially <<feigns innocence>> Mellors.
How are you spending your Saturday night? I, obviously, am MNing and watching Strictly. And drinking Bolly. Would you like to share?
DH is watching the F1, and I'm mnetting as a prelude to going back to my new book about the natural history museum.
I had a lovely birthday, although not as long a lie in as I had hoped for as DS came in proudly wielding a bicycle pump that he had giftwrapped 30 minutes after he got up. He then kept returning with things as DH wrapped them (he had shopped on mums behalf as she has now lost the ability to use Amazon).
DS's first proper riding lesson was fab - really nice lady, and quite an intense lesson
<<Rummages in the larder>>
I am so sorry, Cmot. Your cake got mislaid in the rather hurried move. But here it is - it is a cake of requirement and therefore is a lemon drizzle, chocolate sponge, croque en bouche, sachertorte, linzertorte and raspberry pavlova. How was your <gasp> Evening Out?
Glad to hear that ds's riding has got off to a good start.
Here's the birthday bunting with apologies for the lateness. Would you like some birthday Bolly?

We went for the random approach and ended up in a rather nice Thai. Stayed out till all of 10.30 - am such a lightweight.
Thank you for the cake - M&S failed to actually have any gf cake today, which was v annoying.
Bolly would be lovely.
Amber/Mary - did you see the article in the Guardian today about jobs for ASD adults ?
Here you all are then. I was wondering a bit where you'd got to.
Hello to DCMB, nice to see you again. Having never seen a phone with the internet on it (remember I live in further back than the back end ofbeyond and am a bit of a technopobe) I can't imagine reading MN on a phone. I just hope the screen is bigger than mine as I think I would see a line at a time.
I'm glad you had a good b'day CMOT. I hope Gymbunny's DH did at their day out too.
I'm going to a babyshower (aagh) tomorrow. Mine in fact. I had thought I had managed to escape this torment, but it looks like It Has All Been Arranged without me.
<<Embraces Catita enthusiastically (as far as ample bosom and ample bump permit)>>
I'm relieved you made it here! We forgot to leave a trail of cake crumbs from one tea room to the next and I've been sitting here alone, drinking all the Bolly!
Hmmm. I didn't think anyone held baby showers in the UK, until I saw the MN threads about them. I've never been to one. What will it be like? Will you get <<stereotype alert>> a teeny tiny sombrero? Remember to Just Keep Smiling. Or discreetly pour a pint of water on the floor, clutch your sides and demand to be taken home.
Glad I found you all. Haven't read the last of the 10th TR thread. Jackbaby and I are at my mum's in Toronto and we both have the stomach flu. That is, he's over it now and I woke up with it in the middle of last night. I Am Not Happy.
in the "ill" sense.
Hope you're all well, just popping in briefly.
Hello - just also popping in - hope you're feeling better Jacksmama - I hate being poorly after DD - she's up and sprightly just when I'm lagging waaay behind.
Hope all well, and looking forward to posting a bit more than snoozing on the sofa in this tea room
Have fun at your babyshower Catita - I hope they bring you lots of lovely nappies.
Ooo, Happy Birthday (er, slightly late...
) Cmot!! Riding, eh? May she have better luck with gravity than I used to! Much safer with me being on the ground these days and other people riding Mr T the horse.
I've definitely seen the report on only 15% of autistic people being in proper work, and most of the rest being denied not only the chance to work but benefits of any kind, yup.
Mark's doing really well in campaigning for real change - brilliant CEO.
JM, a cup of something soothing for stomachs for you, I think. Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning?
DS reports that their Italian Adventure is progressing much as planned (though what "as planned" might mean is a bit of a worry....I'm continuing to monitor the international police reports
)
Afternoon. Am sitting in trakkie bottoms and Gap hoodie with no plans to exchange them for something nicer til bedtime. Am v tired from yesterday, we had a really fun day in Chessington, and finished the evening off in our new lovely local fish & chip restaurant. I was v good and had grilled tuna and greek salad, but the wine later in the eve probably undid the good efforts.
Sadly gymgirlie is not well today, she has a v sore throat and sounds like a 45 year old man who has smoked a lot
. Fingers crossed she's better for tomorrow.
Jacksmama, how are you feeling now?
Cmot, happy belated birthday.
Catita, enjoy the baby shower.
<gymbunny shuffles off to find a blamket and a couch>
Hi all... we had an ok night so I'm feeling semi-human. V v v grateful for my lovely mum who has been taking Jackbaby off my hands so I could randomly collapse/ go back to bed/ have a bath. I'm reasonably ok but just feel like I haven't been well, if that makes sense.
<gratefully accepts stomach soothing concoction from Amber>
But it's lovely to be here at my mum's. Weather is gorgeous, though chilly - raining cats and dogs at home, so Jackspapa is telling me.
<waves to all>
Happy belated birthday, CMOT; hope you enjoyed the babyshower, Catita; hope gymgirlie is better soon... and lovely thoughts to everyone else...
Ah, the wonderful world of babyshowers. I had no idea about them until I lived here to. They are a definitely a US import, and can be very very twee with silly party games themed around givinn birth/looking after newborns or, alternatively, very much like a hen night, but with a baby rather than a bride theme.
Being a staid matron these days this babyshower will likely be very subdued. A wife of one of Mr. Hatita's friends is organising (I think she feels sorry for me, ie being an obvious billy-no-mates, and having no girlfriends to organise one for me). Kittenito and Mr. Hatita are going too. We'll probably play dominoes and lotto. There will however be plently of booze for those so inclined and lots of nice food.
I'm just an antisocial old hag really. I never liked parties and especially hate those which revolve around me as there is no where to hide and I can't leave early. So I have to say, I think the water trick might be just up my street, thanks Madbad
Hope JM and gymgirlie are feeling better.
whooooo how did that creep up on us. I thought I'd broken it. Found you now tho. thanks for teh re-boot amber.
Baked apples with out teh sugary bits!!!! not normal. pretty good stuffed with mincemeat ( teh mince pie/ christmas kind not teh beef or lamb kind) .
RL has been busy in a nice way this weekend. We went to local town carnival yesterday, boy had a fantastic time, went on the dogems ( bumpycars)for 1st time with his dad. Had a hot dog, watched the parade, waved at all teh tractor drivers, was thrilled to be given sweets by some of teh charity collectors and generally had a fab time. Next weekend is out village carnival so he will be in teh kids afternoon parade and watch the evening one.
Today we went geocaching again, in local woods. boy does like a good walk in teh woods, he got rather muddy. It was cool to get back to our start point and hop on the tandem to get home. So much nicer than having to drive.
Do you have carnival where you live? and does your carnival include tractors and young farmers.
Well hello!
<daisy drags in cut out of George; chaise long; racing and Mrs Racing>
<sets out a bowl of twiglets>
CMOT happy birthday!
Lovely to see you DCMB and Zazen*
*Gym am amazed by your shoes and Chessington and birthday hubby/ lovely Gymgirlie choosing birthday treats
Wriggle - is she alright? Was it sickness or just sleepy? Did she like the nursery when she was there, and Racing, sorry I haven't read Cambridge review yet...
JM are you feeling better? we had the sickness but it passed in 48 hours
T42 horrid lade, poor Milk, hope you are ok. I tried the hippyseat (at Racing suggest) but Daisyboy didn't like it - he likes to be held with legs in front. It's a struggle. He goes on shoulders, in front, on neck, in rucksack or in bike (legs? what are they for mummy?)
Tidying up - we are quite good but I think it's just how you are made - Daisyboy likes tidy toys. I am always a bit anal about playmobil happier when things are put back in the right box
MadBad sorry you had a horrid meeting - other than biscuit-sahara was the content ok?
UniS your day sounds great - we went to a NT house which was lovely but we did get stuck on the M4...
Waves to all others
<daisy settles down on the sofa and watches the flickering fire and Priscilla while sipping bolly. Good to be home>
oh cat8ta good luck with your shower. Iwent to one. It ranks as one of the worst all time days of my live
Have just done a terrible thing.
Wriggle was playing happily with several tiny dogs, a dolls house and a bar of soap, when I said that it was time for nursery. Immediate devastation, heartbroken sobbing and panic. "I want with yooooooooooooo" ... so I rang up and told them she wasn't well enough to go )and we are going to Sturminster market instead.)
She wasn't at all well yesterday, but even so all my friends with children and no doubt all other mothers everywhere will disapprove.
Everyone tells me that she must go to nursery or she won't be ready for school next year and that she has to go through the crying/panicking/misery bit for a few weeks/months and it will be For Her Own Good.
So can I have a cup of that miraculously caffein-free coffee that I can see just just brewing (or is it that here I can miraculously withstand coffee?) Promise to bring back something delicious from the WI market for tea room elevenses.
Gives RS a special 'she is sooooooooo goin' 'a be a home schooler' cup of tea!!!!
