Did I make a mistake???

DD (25mo) just started nursery last week. Week one went really well - no crying and she seemed to LOVE it. That was until Friday when she cried hysterically when I left her (but was ok in a few minutes). She cried again on Monday and now is saying that she doesn't like it, doesn't want to go, and that it is ugly. Should I take her out? She doesn't HAVE to go - I'm abroad and she's been with the same nanny since she was a few months old and have put her in the nursery because I felt she needed contact with other kids (there are no playgroups, mums and tots, etc here to speak of). So, now I wonder if she would be better off just with the nanny or if this is just a settling issue that will solve itself in a couple of weeks. She was really clingy with me this morning when I went to work (left her with nanny as usual) and I'm worried that she's unhappy... But, I do think she'd love nursery if she can settle. But...

All of mine have been clingy when first starting nursery, they all settled within a few weeks (month max)
You will feel AWFUL when they cry and cling to you but it will pass, just takes time.

maybe she needs a bit more settling in time? could your nanny stay with a her a few days and gradually less and less?

I guess my worry is that maybe she really doesn't like it. So I don't want to make her go if she doesn't. But, I really think she would like it if given the chance... Perhaps best to give it another couple of weeks and then decide? But, I'm afraid to do that and have her dislike school for life. I know I'm being paranoid but...
