£40 a session which is normally 8-1. if you or your partner work in a company that uses a voucher scheme you will get about £15 (off the top of my head) back in tax.

Really depends where you are. Sesssions can range from £13-£20, with a session being morning or afternoon.

I an going back a few years so may be out of date but I know the nursery that my mum used to work in charge £17 per session. I am in Scotland and not London though so that may make a difference!!!

£40 is steep...that would be £80 a day? God that is unbelievable!!

very much depends on where you are.

dd's nursery charges £18 a session or £32 a day (I think - we get a the nursery grant because she is 3 and also pay monthly so I can't remember exactly how much )

we are out in the sticks though - it's a lot more in some cities particularly London

The nursery we are looking at now charges for a morning session between £24.79 - £32.31 (dependant on age) and for the afternoon session between £22.20 and £28.92 (again dependant on age). For a full day it is between £33.57 and £46.35.

Goat I just had a heart attack then quickly recovered!

This is all helpful - we are in Cambridgeshire, so fairly sticks-ish. I need to see if DH can get vouchers as well.

We are in the sticks (Suffolk) and its £32.50 for full day (0-2years) , 8am - 6pm or £17 for 8am to 1pm or 1 to 6.

About three quid less for 2 to 3 years old per day.

we are S Lincs FBB - hopefully won't be too different

check what the fees include - ours includes all meals but we had to supply dd's bottles when she was still on them - but I'm not sure they all do the same.

I also think they charge a couple of quid more a day for babies but include nappies in the price, this is a new thing, when dd was a baby the price was the same across the board and we supplied our own nappies.

THere are slightly cheaper nurseries in the area but this one provides a better proportion of home cooked food (they have a cook) and also has fantastic purpose built facilities incliding a garden that is every toddler's dream.
