Anyone know anything about Co-operative Childcare?

So I've been looking into childcare for my DS when I return back to work late in the summer and my local Co-Op nursery has a really good Ofsted rating and reviews from parents.

I'm planning to take a visit this week but just wondered if anyone knows anything about approximately how much Co-Op charge for their nurseries? Is the care the quality you would expect for the price you pay?

I work part time and my DP earns a decent enough salary but pays most of the bills so childcare costs (I've seen the average and my eyes watered slightly) are going to take most of my wage so unfortunately cost is something I have to put a lot of importance on; although I would never compromise the quality of my son's care for the sake of saving money.

Any advice will be much appreciated SmileFlowers

My DD went 2 days a week from 16mo to 2.5yo. I was very pleased with the quality of her care and always felt that the staff really cared. The fees in our area were comparable with all other nurseries around us, if anything they were slightly cheaper than some.

Ah that's good to hear! A friend of mine worked at a Cooperative nursery for a time and did pretty much echo what you said that the staff really love their job and are good at it!

I'm surprised the prices are competitive though! I just assumed that with the brand associated with them, they would charge more than average but maybe not! Smile

Well we were in London so all nurseries were eye wateringly expensive. If co-op had been as expensive as some of the others I looked at, they would be topping £75 a day!!
