Reusing a nursery

Have used a particular nursery for older dds but only when they were in the holiday club, so 5+ - they no longer attend due to me being be to Co er easter holidays and my mat leave starting before the school summer holidays so I removed them to save money. Currently pregnant with DC3 and looking into childcare options and this nursery is one of two that I am seriously considering.

Can I ask them to show me around as if I've never been before? Obviously baby will be in an area that I haven't seen and alot of the info I'll require will be different to a 5+ child being there compared to a baby. Do you think they'd be happy to do this and that it's a reasonable request from me? I am also going to view the second nursery too.

Absolutely yes. I had two tours of the nursery I chose despite knowing it fairly well as had picked friends children up from there a few times. It's a big decision to make so you need to be sure you're happy with it.

Absolutely. They would probably find it odd if you didn't. You'll need to meet the staff in the baby room and hear about how they look after the little ones which you'll have no other way of doing than going for a visit.

Thanks - I thought they'd find it odd because I have already used them iykwim! But it is a whole area I don't have any knowledge of so glad to know it's a reasonable request.

Absolutely the needs of the two areas are completely different! Look as many times as you need to, to be confident it's the right place.

I manage a nursery and in would absolutely have no problem with you booking a viewing in your circumstances
