nursery dilemma

I'm trying to go back to work, long story but I now need to gain experience in my profession before applying for permanent jobs.

My daughter is entitled to 15 free nursery hours next year and as I have no one to look after her when I'm doing placement I was hoping to use the free hours. What I can't seem to find out though is can the nursery I use be close to my placement rather than home? The nursery is in a different local authority to where I live.

Just wondering how it works with regards to funding.

It doesn't have to be your nearest setting and can be a different LA.
