My little girl is 7 months and three weeks ago started nursery just one day a week. she seems to really enjoy it and so far i have had no complaints. However i questioned her daily diary sheet today as she is still weaning really and it said she had eaten moroccon chicken and veg for tea. I simply asked out of curiosity as i do struggle for ideas of meals, they told me it was a annabel karmen (something like that) jar. I never mentioned anything at the time but over since leaving this had annoyed me. I dont give her jars i make her meals of whatever the family eats and surely the 37pound a day i am paying should include a homecooked meal. Should i mention it, i dont want to be a moaning mother.

Yes do mention it. As you say she's only just weaning. At that stage some families choose to use jars, some don't. The nursery will accommodate whatever your choice is, you just need to let them know

Our nursery tend to purée/mash whatever the other children are having.

£37 a day is very reasonable, ours is over £50!

£37 pounds a day is a very reasonable charge for a full day at nursery.

Did you discuss meals with the nursery before your dd started?

What do the older children eat?

Did they not just mean it was an Annabel Karmel recipe? Nurseries for my 2 were in that sort of price range and lunch was (still is for DD2) home cooked meal (puréed / chopped when they were weaning) with sandwich / fruit / yogurt tea time snack.

Were i live (near manchester) its average orice for one day. No they actually said its a jar. she had corned beef hash for her lunch so im presuming that was the same as the rest of the children. Like you say id prefer her to have a fruit puree or something if whatever the other children have isnt appropriate for her. thanks everubody ill menrtion it next week when shes next in x
