Hi - I'd be grateful to hear from anyone with children at the Bright Horizons nursery in Crouch End. It's pretty new, so I haven't read any reviews of it yet, and I'm trying to figure out if it's a good fit for my son, who I'd like to enroll in a few months when he has turned 2. I paid the nursery a visit, and I definitely liked the set-up, big garden, big windows etc, but it was hard to get a sense of how much attention the kids are getting. The teachers seemed a bit disengaged when I visited, but maybe that was just because the sun was out and the kids were having fun on their own!
Thanks a lot for any opinions

Hi there - my daughter has been at the nursery since the first day they opened and my son will be starting in July. My daughter is in the pre-school room and I really can't praise the nursery enough. The staff are friendly, attentive and caring and she absolutely loves it there. I have been really happy with the attention and guidance my daughter has received whilst also being given the freedom to explore and learn on her own. The key workers are also very good at giving cuddles when they're needed! The atmosphere is always happy and the management team are very hands on and helpful. Having looked at a few different nurseries I couldn't be happier we chose Bright Horizons and have already recommended it to several friends!! Hope this helps :)

Hi Canadianmuminlondon -

I've got a 3.5 year old son at Bright Horizons and highly recommend it. He started there when it opened in May last year and we've had nothing but a good experience. I feel like he gets plenty of attention and stimulus. He's formed strong attachments to his teachers and the other children. I also like the way that the teachers all know the children from the other rooms and the the management team (who are great - very efficient & accommodating ) ensure they have a strong presence in the children's lives. It functions very efficiently as a community. The garden is of course a huge plus! I like the contrast between them doing focused structured tasks and then allowing them to play freely. I should also add that my son is quite idiosyncratic (he's fond of a dress!) and that they've entirely embraced his foibles and he's developing from a very clingy toddler into a happy confident little boy. Hope this helps. Happy to answer specific questions.

Hi - I'd be grateful to hear from anyone with children at the Bright Horizons Crouch End Fields nursery which is situated inside Hornsey Cricket Club. The posts here seem to be pretty dated so i would welcome any recent reviews. I’m currently looking for a nursery for my 2 year old daughter in and around Haringey and i really liked the nursery. Location is great, facilities were excellent and staff seem very welcoming. However, I read that the nursery was closed for inspection for a few weeks early 2023 as a result of some parents concerns over child safety. Ofsted haven't published details but the nursery did reopen in March and is running as normal now. It would be great to hear from mums that have had experience of this nursery and am slightly concerned. Thanks in advance.

I have the very same question.. I really liked the tour of the Crouch End field nursery, couldn’t fault it. But bit hesitant after reading there brief shit down earlier this year. I am looking for a space for my 10 month old daughter. Some insight about this would be really appreciated.

This is as much detail as Ofsted ever publishes following a complaint made:
https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/EY549611

It looks as though the concerns raised have now been addressed and a subsequent inspection has found that the nursery is a Good provider.
The best thing to do would be to go and see the nursery and ask them about the shutdown.
