Plymouth nursery help!

Shortly to be moving, at short notice, to Plymouth and I need to find a decent nursery for dd2. I went to see one on Friday and it made my heart sink a bit... Staff seemed disinterested, it didn't smell very nice, and so on. I know the outstanding ones will have a waiting list but am hoping to be pointed in the direction of a secretly fantastic one! We will be in Stoke, so somewhere near there or on the road up via Peverell, or into the city would be good. Thank you!

Pixieland in mannamead. There is also one in Stoke but I have no idea what that one is like. The one in Mannamead is nice though with friendly and attentive staff, from what I've seen

Which nursery was it you already visited?

Have a look at Flying Start, up near Marjon/Derriford Hospital. The one at Plymouth University is really good but I don't know if it's just for staff and students?

Also - if you fancy meeting up or need a guide, I live in Stoke so get in touch :)

Thank you so much for the replies... I had thought of the one at Derriford as v near where I work... Trying to juggle nursery/ school/ work/ house and finding what is easiest for all is actually quite stressful. Have to take pot luck with dd1s school, which is making my heart sink a bit have to say.

I used to take one of my Foster Child to FortView nursery which is near Derriford. It's excellent and I can't recommend it enough tbh.

Which school/s have you got?

Let me know when you might want to meet up - I can only do evenings or weekends at the moment tho!

My DD is at Flying Start up at Marjon, and they are fab. Building is shabby but they are getting a new one within the year, and the staff are lovely.
