Mamas and papas appalling customer service

Am I alone in receiving the worst possible customer service from mamas and papas? I ordered the Mia three piece nursery set in June from mamas and papas and was told I could expect delivery on the 22 august. A week before delivery they told me the changer was out of stock and I would have to wait a month for it because they had been let down. On delivery day I anxiously waited only to be met with an incomplete delivery of the Mia collection. Part of the wardrobe was missing and the cotbed was damaged. I called customer service at mamas and papas and spoke to neelam who informed me that it was the couriers fault, Panther, who should have told me it wasn't coming in this consignment. I would now have to wait until Saturday morning for the other part and next month for new cotbed! What is my child supposed to do? Inhabit the cardboard boxes they have given me for a month! Waiting in for the wardrobe this morning I missed a call on my mobile and I called straight back, but I have now been told by the drivers and amandeep in the call centre at mamas and papas that they are too busy and can't find my house, they can't rebook me because no supervisors are available at a weekend, so I must just wait and see what happens. Has customer service become a byword for cross your fingers and hope? I am now seeking advice from the citizens advice bureau. Can anyone suggest anything else I might try to save my sanity? Surely mamas and papas have a duty of care to provide me with a level of customer service?

Thanks tobeabat. I just can't believe a large company like mamas and papas would do this to people who are obviously going through such life changing events. They show a complete lack of empathy.

Also terrible customer service from them when pregnant with first.

Would never use and never recommend

Thats a shame. I dealt with them recently on 3 occasions (2 diff stores & online - long story Wink) - albeit buying a pushchair, so less complicated and found them hugely helpful and courteous. Sorry your experience hasn't been so good, can you cancel the order and go elsewhere?

That's the really terrible thing. They hold you to ransom through telling you if you build the furniture then you've bought it! They know you can hardly buy a full nursery set off the shelf. When we were looking around average delivery times were 10 weeks. I am due to be induced next week - unfortunately not planned for so I'm stuck. Needless to say the customer services team didn't care about any part of my situation and basically told my husband that there was nothing they could do for us so they were terminating the phone call! Sooooo compassionate.

M&P customer service is notoriously bad. Their products aren't much better! (Never had any furniture though).

I had horrendous customer service from Mamas & Papas. The so called "Head of Customer Services" was a deranged woman who kept sending me threatening letters!!!
