Overcharging?

I'm in a bit of a dispute with my nursery. They advertise their rates at £775 per month, and invoice me £4.50 an hour. I've tried to explain the error to them but they came back with "parents that receive free entitlement for three and four year olds are charged at our daily rate of £50 per day".
Any ideas how I can get through to them that they haven't quite grasped basic arithmetic?

How many hours a day does your child attend? Hoe many weeks a year?How old are they? If your child is eligible for the 15 hours funding, how does the nursery apply that funding?

The monthly rate will probably include a discount for fulltime
If you do less then you pay a higher rate normally

So 775 is for someone who isn't using 15 free hours?

The 15 free hours are not paid at the same rate As the settings hourly rate, in my local authority 15 free hours for 3 year olds are paid at £3.45

So they are possibly charging you a higher rate for the other hours used to make up this difference, so you may be getting less off your bill than what you think 15 hours would cost

It doesn't sound like they are charging top up fees, but invoicing for hours used rather than a discounted rate for full time, which is fine.

Op hasn't given enough information however for us to know what is going on!
