DS doesn't want to get up in the morning [sad]

After the half term, DS changed and didn't want to get up in the morning. On Monday morning, we managed to get him up before 9am. And today, he stayed in the bed all the morning. He didn't mention anything about nursery, he just said that he would like to stay in the bed. What can I do? I don't want to force him to get up, but it is time for nursery. Any Mumnetters have similar experiences? How do you handle that?

How old is he. Just get him up and bring him to Nursery.

Has he not been up at all today? Has he has food and drinks?

He is 3.5 years old. If I force him to get up, he would start tearing. He stayed on the bed till 12 this morning. His dad gave him some food on the bed. I don't suggest to give him any food when he is on bed, but I am not at home, so can't do anything about it.

Is he ill? Sometimes they just want to rest a little if so or maybe coming down with something.

If he doesn't have to go to nursery I would maybe let him sleep in this week if needed and try again next week

He seems OK, but has a little eye infection with pus. Maybe we should just allow him to have enough sleep this week. I am just worried that he may not want to go to nursery anymore from now on
