Twickenham nurseries

Hi all. I am looking at nurseries in Twickenham, preferably central Twickenham (we live on church st and have older kids at Orleans primary) that would take my new born daughter in either September or January. We're going to visit Annie's Nest (very hopeful on this one) and Teddies but can anyone else recommend any others?
Thanks :)

There are loads of fab childminders around. Why not use one of them? Sorry, no experience with the nurseries.

Wouldn't I need a nanny for a 9 month old or can a childminder look after that age too? Thanks

of course a childminder can do that. Get in touch with the Richmond Childminding association... or whoever gives out names and contacts of registered childminders these days. You could probably even find someone to do drop-off / pick-up at orleans.

You could look at bright beginnings on holly rd for comparison. DD1 was there for two years and overall we were happy with it. Excellent facilities (except lack of outside space but they take them out daily) and lovely staff. I was disappointed with the frequent changes of room/key worker and the quality of food. Management can be a tad frustrating to deal with. I know a couple of people with children in the baby room currently who seem very happy with it.

Oh and you can contact family information service at the council for childminder lists or check //www.childcare.co.uk

Great advice ladies thank you. We moved from Denmark 18 months ago so childcare for a baby is a new system for us here. Thanks v much. Will look at both nursery and childminder options. X
