d/d came home with a chunk of hair cut out of her fringe!!

d/d has recently been moved up to 3's and came home with chunk of hair out of her fringe saying so and so cut my hair but so and so appears to do everything!!! obviously going to mention it. Any advice?

Spidermama posted about this recently - her dd came home from school claiming that a child had cut her hair in the school playground. Spidermama got the teachers to talk to every class about the danger of scissors and then spidermama found the missing clump of hair under her own dining room table. So are you sure that this wasn't a diy job?

No advice only that it's not unusual where ou have small children and scissors. At least it was something that grows back! :o

No, it's not unusual, but it does suggest that children hsve been playing with scissors with little supervision.

In DD1's nursery, a little boy once played hairdressers to 3 little girls whilst the member of staff wasn't looking. Their parents weren't as understanding as you seem to be!

Kids all bathed and asleep thank goodness it is not all that noticeable underneath fringe and not that much but it definately has been cut. suppose i would be very annoyed if it had been cut all over and yes valid point of supervision. thanks for all your replies.

I think Satine meant a DIY job on the part of your DD, not that you cut it yourself :)

Mention it and be relieved that it wasn't something more serious like an eye or scissor skin damage incident.
I'd question the supervision for sure.

Unfortunately my dd is a scissor snipper. She has twice cut her own hair under my mum's supervision and once at nursery tried to cut her little friends fingernails. Instead she nicked her finger. Luckily I get on well with the mum of the child involved.

I think its just one of those things, children can be so quick they have done something whilst you have blinked.

I was just joking about it being a diy job Satine. I was being sarky (tongue in cheek) trying to lighten it all. Have sick d/h at moment and alot of stress going on just making light of situation. :)

My friends DD had a whole left platt cut off - hmmm not so good apart from the layers, they were perfect!! quick visit to the hairdresser, she looked like rod stewart 4 ages

Soz shouldnt joke, its really hard to cut hair with kiddies paper scissors why are they give scissors that are any sharper than this??
