Hi. I've lurked and read posts for months now, and though it was time that I registered.
I don't have kids, am child free by choice, but have read and valued much of the other advice on here.

Perhaps try posting on conception board?

Can I just suggest to the Newbies, that you don't give too much personal information, like children's names?

It's not a good idea, honestly.

Welcome to MN, though.

Angiebabes, have a look at the Mental Health board for other people's experiences with anti-depressants.

You might find it better to start your own thread over there. It may not be very fast moving, but is more likely to attract more knowledgable people, about your specific circumstances.

And welcome to MN!

Hi there,
I've just joined here and noticed your post. I am currently on citalopram I have been on them about three times during the last 15 years I think they work wonders. In regard to weaning yourself off them; I've always done it really gradually else you can become very anxious/depressed. So I'd take half every other day and obviously a whole one on the other days, and do this for a couple of weeks, then as long as you feel ok start taking a half on another day in the week, then gradually work up to having half every day. This could take 5-6 weeks. Then once your taking half everyday then you can start missing out one day in the week completely. Do this for couple of weeks then miss out another day, then so on and so on. I hope this rambling makes sense! Just really wanted to try and help because I know what it's like. I hope they have worked for you 😄 El xx

Hiya thanks for ur message, I did that for a couple of days but didn't like the up down feeling so just went straight on half after a few days, I'm taking half a day now n I've got used to that after 4 days, I'm gunna stick to that for a few weeks I think iMacs I go on hol soon n don't wanna go worse why I'm away, when I get bk I was thinking of makin my tablets into quarter then takin them for a few weeks, my doc told me just to stop them as I am only prolonging getting bk to normal, told him no chance xx
