My 20 year old son has recently had a melt down and is suffering with depression. We're in touch with GP and he's on medication and we have a counselling and therapy appointment this week. He's a quiet lad, has never had loads of friends, found a girlfriend this year which is great, but she's off to Uni soon, has her own anxiety problems and this has been a stress for my son. Suddenly it all got too much and he completely folded a few weeks ago and I had to fetch him home from work. He's lost loads of weight, can't work, and is deeply depressed, crying a lot.
He can talk to me, and I help all I can. He's very scared, and I'm scared too obviously, but it's beginning to affect me yet I need to stay strong for him.
Any advice from mums who've dealt with this would be greatly appreciated.
