Help! DS (23 mo, 17 kilos and 92 cms) is outgrowing his nappies!

I have a set of XL Fuzibunz and they are great, however, DS has thunderous thighs, is built like a brick **house and he's growing out of them! I can do up the waist with a bit of slack but around the tops of his thighs it is getting more than snug. Any recommendations?

Oh, he is also power-peeing and I'm having to boost the nappies with an extra bamboo liner but that still ain't enough for night times. Any suggestions for the ultimate night time nappy?

Thanks!

Put an XL fleece soaker over them rather than investing in more actual nappie as he could slim down - XL pumpkin pants fleece soakers are good for boys.

Thanks Octo. Are they any good for day time wear or is this more a night time solution?

Octothebaglady Mon 16-Nov-09 21:06:51

You can do either - may have a rather large bottom for daytime but will work if struggling for containment in day.

Thanks for your help Octo.

So there are no XXL fuzibunz type nappies out there? Roll on potty training is all I can say.

I have a giant reb wrap you can have for free to put over them if you want - they are giant - email me on info@nappywardrobe.co.uk - I bought it for my ds2 - he was big too!! If you do want to buy more nappies - the easy peasy bumper is massive and good overnight.

Oh that would be lovely! Thank you! Will drop you a line in a mo.

Thanks for the tip Riven - I will probably get some larger disposables (Moltex?) for night-time use if I can't get a reuseable solution sorted.

Ah... No moltex then. But I don't like pampers because of the chemical smell when they pee. Any other recommendations?

Ha ha Riven, my DS is the same after his naps - you have to get him to the potty quick or there's a flood! I can't believe how much wee he can hold inside him, he'll never go a whole night shock

CMOTdibbler Tue 17-Nov-09 11:31:31

I've got a couple of XXL Fuzzis if you want them - I picked them up when I saw them for sale, but won't need them after all

MrFibble Tue 17-Nov-09 11:45:27

Ooh, CMOT - I'd love to take them off your hands. Let me know how much you want for them.

Will try a sanitary towel inside the nappies too - anything to cope with the power-peeing.

CMOTdibbler Tue 17-Nov-09 13:11:28

12.00 for both including postage ? I find a folded terry works really well as an insert for night, and I have a couple of big ones that I could include for a total of 16.00

LittlePants Wed 18-Nov-09 11:44:04

You can get disposable boosters for night time nappies as well. May be better than a sanitary towel, as they are bigger!

CMOT, 12 GBP sounds fair to me but I'm in Luxembourg so postage will be more? Let me know a revised offer if you don't mind. If postage proofs to be a problem I'll see if my Dad doesn't mind receiving a parcel for me as he is visiting soon. I've got plenty of terry stuff so I won't need that thanks. Sorry for not getting back earlier as had day from hell yesterday with playdate coinciding with unscheduled work for a client.

Octo - have dropped you a line. Sorry for being crap and late.

Octothebaglady Thu 19-Nov-09 20:10:49

MrFibble - in post today. Was sent 1st - only £1.21 so don't worry about it.

MrFibble Fri 20-Nov-09 10:06:02

Thanks so much. I'll put the equivalent in the charity collection box at the super market - it's for orphans in Malawi. Hope that's OK.

Again - much appreciated. I'll let you know whether we manage the stem the flow!! Mind you, yesterday he got out the potty and sat on it for a bit. Maybe this is the beginning?

MrFibble Mon 23-Nov-09 13:07:35

Just to let you know I got them and I will slip them on him tonight!

Thanks again. Much appreciated.
