Cloth nappies make her huge! Bigger clothes?

I'm trying out cloth nappies for the first time and they are massive. I can barely get her vest done up over them and she's only just moved up to this size of vest so it's baggy anyway.

Do people who use cloth regularly have to buy bigger clothes??

Next size up clothes, or vest extenders are good - and actually mean you can use vests for longer than you would be able to even if in disposables.

Thanks! I didn't know best extenders existed smile

Frugi cut their clothes specifically for cloth nappies. They are expensive but fantastic quality. They will have a good sale after Xmas, or try ebay.

Have you tried using Ittis? i use them when DD2 is wearing anything other than a sleepsuit as they are slimmer fitting

Search for vest extenders on Amazon. Fit pretty much all poppers/vests except Gap IME.

Now my DD is 10 months the additional bulk added by her cloth nappies seems to be disproportionately less, IYSWIM, so I find I don't need the extenders so often, but they were a godsend.

Close fitting trousers are still difficult though. We resort to tights, leggings or baggy-bottomed trousers.

We use Itti Bitti washables for this very reason. They're slim fitting so ok with most trousers etc. Because they're thinner they clearly don't hold as much wee as a bulky washable so need checking that bit more regularly and since DD was about 6mo we've used TotsBots Bamboozles at night. They are bulky but can be boosted as much as you like.

Ittis are expensive but you can get them 2nd hand and we got some fantastic TotsBots bargains too.
