New to this thing (well, DC1 is cooking). Would love to use reusables from day 1...but will have to see how hefty LO is.
Has anyone used 'the pop-ins'? What do they think etc? I'm interested in the bamboo ones...

They're good - they're very similar to the Pop'n'Gro V2s which are my all-time favourite nappy. I like them (Pop-Ins and PNG) because they're one of the few BTP nappies that have a really nice deep leg gusset, so they fit newborn legs nicely.

The one thing I don't like about them is that they fasten with velcro, and velcro always seems to wear out and get unsticky, and snag up in the wash, even in spite of the laundry tabs.

I started with Pop n Gros and now use a few Pop Ins alongside size 2 Pop N Gros. My dd is 16 months and I am less and less convinced by the Pop N Gros, but I like the Pop Ins, especially for night times with the night time booster. I haven't had any problems with the velcro in terms of wear and tear, but my dd can take them off as it is only velcro. I'm not convinced they are really going to last till potty though, she is tiny for her age about 18lbs, but she is already on the last popper and getting them on with the night time booster is a real heave. Double gusset is very useful.
I think they are great, we have both the bamboo and the microfibre ones. The only issue is the drying time for the bamboo ones, but you can take out the soaker bit and it dries overnight on the radiator (don't put the outer on the radiator though) The micrfibre ones are dry really quick. Both my DC are in them and the nursery say they are the
easiest cloth nappies they have come across.
Oh and we use disposables for night time...just pure laziness really, but stops any leaks whch were a bit of a problem once they wee lots and it gave us a less interupted sleep with the nappies getting chilly once wet.

I used pop-ins for a year with ds. Liked them a lot, found them easy to wash and no trouble with the velcro fastening. We needed to use a disposable at night and now he's bigger I found they don't last long at all before he leaks through them. So not quite birth to potty for us, but I will re-use them if there's a dc2!
(we have the bamboo ones by the way.)
