I've just discovered this and love Ne t'enfuis Pas as well. I think her best are Sensual World and Cloudbusting- just perfect.

Pagwatch Fri 12-Oct-12 16:51:17

I know it's predictable but I do love Running up that Hill

roooibos Fri 12-Oct-12 16:54:53

Rocket's Tail, Love & Anger, Jig Of Life, Army Dreamers, Get Out Of My House, Sat In You Lap, Moments Of Pleasure...

Oh yeah, Jig of Life.
And Night of the Swallow......

I do love her newest Snowflake too.

brandysoakedbitch Fri 12-Oct-12 16:56:38

I love her, I love everything about her and I love all her songs <sigh>

Predictable is WH, Pagwatch! NO ONE here listens to her except one guy in Rock soc who knows everything, and even then he only knows Lionheart. I miss my friend who practically is her.

MerylStrop Fri 12-Oct-12 16:57:31

All of them

If I listen to one I have to listen to all of them

Pagwatch Fri 12-Oct-12 20:48:00

I love her.
I remember when Wuthering Heights was released. I just sat there thinking 'fucking hell. This is both weird and brilliant at the same time'

juneybean Fri 12-Oct-12 21:10:48

Wuthering heights always makes me want to flounce around the house :/

Pagwatch Fri 12-Oct-12 21:11:47

germyrabbit Fri 12-Oct-12 21:12:51

alemci Fri 12-Oct-12 21:25:26

Same here. At the time it felt other worldly, it was like nothing else I'd ever heard and I loved it. I still love her now.

DelGirl Fri 12-Oct-12 21:42:38

man with a child in his eyes smile oh and the one she did with Peter Gabriel

Noqontrol Fri 12-Oct-12 21:43:36

All of them. I love Kate.

Pagwatch Fri 12-Oct-12 21:43:41

DelGirl Fri 12-Oct-12 21:45:09

Bramblesinafield Fri 12-Oct-12 21:52:12

The man with the child inhis eyes. Also love the angel one from 50 words for snow. And all of the others,

devilinside Fri 12-Oct-12 21:59:02

Army Dreamers, and there was a 'b' side - I think, called Passing through air. Just beautiful. I must download the 'snow' album

Bramblesinafield Fri 12-Oct-12 22:27:16

Prelude from a sky of honey too.

I think moments of pleasure is one of my all time favourites. Whenever I'm in a beautiful location i think of it, or play it if I've my iPod - pure white light for the soul.

"pure white light for the soul"- is a very nice phrase!

Bramblesinafield Sat 13-Oct-12 09:05:54

Thank you. I'm just searching iTunes to download the music I only have on vinyl - like lionheart.

ScarahScreams Sun 14-Oct-12 15:37:38

Moments of pleasure. Heartbreaking but wonderful at the same time.

Hi Netmums
This thread came up on my news alert so I thought I'd say 'hello' both as a mum who uses the net (ho, ho) and vocalist with a Kate Bush tribute band 'Cloudbusting'.
We're based in the South West but gig all over the place - have a look at our website and see if we're playing anywhere near to you.
All the best

AnneOfCleavers Tue 16-Oct-12 09:27:16

Cloudbusting, Hounds of Love, Army Dreamers, This Woman's Work and countless others.

My parents are massive Kate Bush fans so not only did I grow up listening to her but they named me after her as well smile

GreeenFingers Tue 16-Oct-12 09:30:05

Definately The man with the child in his eyes, but I'm buggered if I know what it's about

Bramblesinafield Tue 16-Oct-12 22:29:48

C Loud busting, great tribute, but we are very far from being netmums!

mamalovesmojitos Tue 16-Oct-12 22:52:25

Oops! Wrong website luv bear

Feel It is my favourite Kate Bush song. I love l'amour looks something like you. I love them all!

cloudbustingkbtribute Wed 17-Oct-12 08:09:24

Heh ! This is mumsnet isn't it ? Mums using the net ? I know, bad 'joke'
Thanks for looking at our website, brilliant to see all this love for KB.

LottieJenkins Wed 17-Oct-12 08:17:23

Dont Give Up is my fave..............

greenhill Wed 17-Oct-12 08:24:09

I love them all, but especially The Kick Inside. I particularly love that she writes her own lyrics and composes her own music.
When I was little I used to copy her dance moves, I had the long dark hair, but was not so elegant grin

cloudbustingkbtribute Wed 17-Oct-12 09:10:59

She was a real pioneer at the time she came out and continues to influence so many artists, male and female. Rumoured she's going to working with Big Boi from Outkast on his new album.
Really hard to pick just the one song but I do love the Sensual World.

^ I would love to go to a KT tribute band, but on the other hand.....I would want it to be good blush

StarMeKitten Sat 24-Nov-12 16:03:28

The man with the child in his eyes, and don't give up with peter gabriel

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 24-Nov-12 17:06:02

Cloudbusting, I think the point that Mama was making is that you are not allowed to advertise here. It makes me feel uncomfortable too.
We are mumsnet, not netmums. very different....

Anyway, another Kate Bush fan here. I have to wail loudly whenever I listen to her and always thought that if I were taking part in stars in their eyes I would be Kate.
<wonders off to download the songs listed here that I haven't heard yet>

Hassled Sat 24-Nov-12 17:07:14

Running up that Hill. I was obsessed by it. I was the saddo playing the same song over and over.

HoneyKate Wed 27-Feb-13 16:21:46

Oh wow a KB thread....!
The Sensual World is my favourite Kate song ever, followed by
Rocket's Tail
Watching You Without Me
Night of the Swallow
Burning Bridge
and all the others
Kate is awesome

WiganKebab Sun 03-Mar-13 20:46:25

'this woman's work'. Without a doubt.

Been listening to this all day, and in a moment of weakness ordered it as a b-side on Amazon....

I love Burning Bridge, Night of the Swallow, Watching You Without Me....ag ALL the ones you mentioned HoneyKate! I mean especially!

Man with a child in his eyes and wow, (arm swinging all over the show here) ...unbelIEVEable.

Oops this is an old thread lol, no replies expected blush
