Ah, I was a raisin girl. A complete Torifile, Ears With Feet and all that. "Logged on" to "The Dent" once a day probably. I've still got over 30 singles. I don't think I have her last couple of albums, they all got a bit boring and samey. What is everyone's favourite song? I think mine is Here. In My Head.

but what did it actually mean to be a 'cornfake' or 'raisin' girl????

please people, this has been bugging me for about 15 years now...and at last a thread has come along that could potentially put me out of my misery

From wikipedia:
In the song two factions of women are referred to; the "Raisin Girls" are "multicultural" and open-minded while the "Cornflake Girls" of the title are "narrowminded and full of prejudice".

ah, thanks MrsJamin.

Then i can say for certain that i was, and remain, a Raisin girl.

I didn't realise it had an actual meaning , just thought she was making a point about being different. I'm deflecting to the raisins (even though they taste horrid)

i wonder if chocolate covered raisins count? they're even rarer than the plain variety and they taste much better

It's bloody daft, whatever way you look at it. Why cornflakes and raisins - I think Tori Amos is a froot loop girl.

I'm a raisen girl.

My favorite Tori song is "Mother"

If you haven't seen her live go, she's awesome!

The lyric is "Rabbit, where'd you put the keys girl..."

I was a raisin girl trying very hard to be a cornflake girl before giving up and embracing my inner raisin-ness

should've been a in the last post

and I have a sneaking soft spot for Sort Of Fairytale from Scarlet's Walk, even though it is a bit bland.

I think my favourite Tori song would have to be...

Ooh this is hard, there's so many!

Hey Jupiter

or maybe

Spark: "She's convinced she could hold back an iceberg/but she couldn't keep baby alive..." listened to that obsessively when i had my mc.
