Latest Laura Marling album - another yawnfest?

(9 Posts)

Only just bought it so still not sure. I found her earlier albums were full of growers, whereas the last one (Creature) was full of ones which I got bored of. I only have "Sophia" on my iPod from that lot now.

Anyone else got I Was An Eagle?

yes have got it - it is not one of her better ones (such as alas I cannot swim or I speak because I can) - she's at risk of overexposure if you ask me, it was only 2012 when her last album was released.

I love Laura and thought A Creature I Don't Know was her best work yet.
Haven't bought the new one yet.

pict I'm really surprised you liked it more than the others! You must be far from alone on that though... I think she'll never top 'I Speak'.

That's brilliant too.
I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a tour.

Dull as ditch water IMO.
Really not my cup of tea.

I've only just discovered her and think she's fab.

Like a few on new album, but haven't bought it yet.
