I'm obviously a bit slow on the uptake (and resisted because my dad likes Fleetwood Mac)
Are there any other popular albums I would previously have dismissed that I should listen to?
Pink Floyd - The Wall?
Leftfield - Leftism?
Joni Mitchell - Blue?
Jeff Buckley - Grace?
Pixies - Doolittle?
David Bowie - Changes?
Neil Young - Harvest?
Bit hard to know without you saying what you usually listen to. How about starting with Q magazines 100 all time greatest albums list?

Thats a good idea strawberry!
Not bat out of hell - has bad memories of a very bad date!!!!
Like a mix, 70's late punk and glam rock, 80's Pop and Goth, 90's Britpop/indie dance music, 2000 mainly dance and pop - pretty eclectic. Britney Spears, Suede, Bowie and Duran Duran all happily co-exist on my ipod!
Off the top of my head, my favourite classics
Peter Gabriel - So
Primal Scream - Screamdelica
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now
Ash - 1977
Sheryl Crow - Tuesday Night Music Club
Natalie Merchant - Tiger Lilly
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Was going to say Joni Mitchell

"What's Goin' On" - Marvin Gaye. Oft voted best album in polls over the years.
<btw, saw Fleetwood Mac on the 'Rumour's Tour - not sure have seen a musically-better concert from a 'pop' band. Congrats on going your own way in your dreams....

I love Rumours too. especially The Chain and the original Songbird that other people thought was first sung by Eva Cassidy.
I also like the Ziggy Stardust Album by David Bowie, loads of good tracks and Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel which was recently on a documentary.
I liked tango in the Night too and Blondie Parallel Lines is another favourite

FM are fab - and especially Lindsey Buckingham (DW is #1 fan!!)
Guess who we are going to see tonight - meet and greet and everything - DW will be like
on the front row all night!
Stevie is good too and Christine McVie has a couple of albums too. Many of them work on each others solo projects.
