Aldi have asked us to find out what's important to you when you're buying nappies for your baby/toddler.

This survey is open to all UK MNers who have at least one child who wears, or has worn disposable nappies in the last couple of years - of any make.

All those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £200 Amazon voucher.

Please click here to take part in the survey.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Please note this survey is separate from the Aldi nappy product test, so if you are taking part in that please also fill in this survey. If you are not part of the Aldi nappy product test, this survey is also open to you.

Done - my boys are 6 and 8, but neither is completely out of nappies, so I hope no assumptions about qualifying for the survey are made based on age alone.

I would do this, but I have no Aldi in Northern Ireland. I don't think...

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 20-May-12 09:25:12

Tee - that's ok. Most of the questions are about nappies rather than Aldi or Aldi nappies.

Tee2072 Sun 20-May-12 11:57:55

Oh okay Ann, I filled it in!

MyDogShitsMoney Sun 20-May-12 12:17:37

Done. Keep meaning to try Aldi nappies after hearing about them on here but have to drive passed 5 other supermarkeys to get to Aldi so never get around to it!

fivegomadindorset Sun 20-May-12 12:45:10

Done, I didn't like the fact that there was no place for any otehr comments, like ouryve I have a 6.5 year old still in nappies alot of the time for medical reasons and ordinary nappies are getting slightly too small for her, there is a market out there to do a bigger still size of nappy and not just the expensive night time ones.

tigercametotea Sun 20-May-12 13:08:07

Done it.

klaxon Sun 20-May-12 15:02:08

Agree with the need for bigger nappies. I have a three year old who is soaking through Pampers during the night because he does massive voids.

Pounamu Sun 20-May-12 16:22:34

Done. A few of the questions weren't relevant as we don't live near an Aldi so have never tried their stuff, although I've heard some good things through MN about them.

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sun 20-May-12 16:33:38

klaxon and others - re bigger nappies - do post your needs/stories/thoughts on here and we will ensure Aldi see the comments.

BertieBotts Sun 20-May-12 17:24:51

I was going to put in extra comments too that when I answered "Texture/softness" was important on wipes, something which is important is thickness too - the last thing you want is a wipe which breaks when you're trying to clean up a messy poo. I tend to prefer Huggies for this reason.

Avver Sun 20-May-12 17:57:00

is there a feedback thread for the nappy testers yet? smile

Done, but I wasn't sure whether or not "nappies" included pull-ups - I've bought Aldi, Huggies and Pampers pull-ups but not nappies.

ledkr Sun 20-May-12 19:16:09

Done but I never win any of them <stamps foot>

DonkeyTeapot Sun 20-May-12 21:33:41

Done. There is no Aldi where I live, hope that doesn't rule me out.

klaxon Mon 21-May-12 10:38:16

Okay. I have a five year old who is not dry at night who needs pull ups and the size 6 ones fit her okay but are too high up at the front and irritate her tummy button.

My nearly four year old is still in nappies. He's three stone. ALL nappies leak overnight with him. They are either too big and hence gape and acquire a build up of urine in certain areas which then become overwhelmed and leak (little puddles of urine where they do not fit well) or they are too skimpy and they hang too low on his (enormously large) bottom. So he gets builders bum. Then overnight they work their way down at the front and leak there too. And please do not get me started on nappies like Pampers which do not have enough padding on the bum so you get poonamis coming up and over at the back (particularly when we are eating out or so it seems hmm).

Anchorwoman Mon 21-May-12 19:56:29

All done. Can't find a place to feed back on product test though, have we got one yet?

jasminetatu Mon 21-May-12 20:31:14

All done smile

RubyGates Mon 21-May-12 20:39:16

Done. Although I haven't been able to buy anything from our nearest Aldi since it as trashed in the riots last year. confused

Faverolles Mon 21-May-12 21:19:55

(actually did it a few days ago, but wasn't sure if I needed to say so here or not!)

MuckingFuddle Mon 21-May-12 21:47:05

torn about he amazon vouchers!! shock

but love Aldi wipes, so want to help them.

nothing in there about comparing them to other brands, though, so would like to add - I like the plastic clipping flip top, and the fact that they're quite robust wipes (unlike Huggies which are so blimmin' flimsy that you pull them out of the pack and they're practically crumbling!)

nickelbabe Tue 22-May-12 16:18:23

klaxon - maybe you need to use cloth ones? there must be some that fit better.

klaxon Tue 22-May-12 16:57:33

nickelbabe - tried that too - still leaky. I reckon I'm going to have to make something out of fleece (and bags for life probably) hmm

nickelbabe Tue 22-May-12 17:21:04

if you can make stuff, then that would be ideal, i reckon. You can keep tweaking it.

klaxon Tue 22-May-12 17:28:00

Thanks, I may try - perhaps I'll make nappies for big arses and make a mint selling them!

nickelbabe Tue 22-May-12 17:28:58

yeah, you probably could grin
(for the special needs market)
