Unum, the leading provider of Income Protection in the UK, would like to find out how you deal with your monthly household finances.

The survey is open to all UK Mumsnetters.

Everyone who takes part in the survey and who adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £150 Amazon voucher!

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw.

I checked my spreadsheet and it's my turn to win...

Nyx · 11/06/2012 10:23

Done (and depressed now).

Pinot · 11/06/2012 10:28

Done, but you've forgotten to add details about the voucher in the final paragraph"

KatieBMumsnet · 11/06/2012 10:39

Done.

BlueEyeshadow · 11/06/2012 11:02

Q 6 has a "N/A no partner" but not a "N/A no employer" option.

KatieBMumsnet · 11/06/2012 11:18

Thanks Blue I've added "if you/your partner don't have an employer please leave blank".

Am I being an idiot? Your first post says: To take part in the survey .

How does one do it then?

KatieBMumsnet · 11/06/2012 11:49

sc2987 It should say "To take part in the survey click here." Try this link.

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 11/06/2012 11:50

Are you on the App SC? Cuz you can't do links from there.

sc2987 · 11/06/2012 11:52

No I'm using Firefox on a laptop, all other links on the site work fine but that one is not visible to me.

Could someone post the text of the link rather than the link itself and then I can copy and paste that?

KatieBMumsnet · 11/06/2012 11:54

Here's the link sc2987 www.surveymonkey.com/s/unumsurvey12

OP posts:
sc2987 · 11/06/2012 11:58

Nope, still can't see it! I can see and click on the Unum one at the beginning of your initial post, but not this one.

Did you tick 'convert links automatically'? If so could you leave it unticked and it might show the link in plain text instead as it will assume it's just words.

KatieBMumsnet · 11/06/2012 12:03

Sorry about that - is this better? www.surveymonkey.com/s/unumsurvey12

Yes! Thank you

SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 11/06/2012 12:24

Tee youve made a mistake in your spreadsheet. I think you'll find its my turn....
It must be by now.

Tee2072 · 11/06/2012 12:39

I just doubled checked, Squirted...it's definitely my turn. Sorry.

OwlsOnStrings · 11/06/2012 12:42

Not sure how the data will be interpreted, but when it comes to questions like whether you worry about certain outgoings, it may not be wise to have "paying bills" in the same category as "continuing to have family holidays". I wasn't sure how to answer.

  • I am not worried about meeting the bills, because we can do so comfortably. If we couldn't afford to, I'd certainly be worried.
  • I'm also not "worried" about "continuing to have holidays", but that isn't because we can afford it! It's because we haven't been able to for ages, and won't be in the foreseeable future. But it's holidays, therefore a luxury, therefore not the same thing.

That's a really good point Owl. Am I worried about rent and food? Yes. Am I worried about going to the South of France? No.

strawberrypenguin · 11/06/2012 13:58

Done!

ZuzuBailey · 11/06/2012 14:18

Done. My household income looks very healthy, but that's because I have two adult working offspring living with me.

I worry very much about paying bills as they could leave home tomorrow.

Strange that alcohol wasn't mentioned in the 'what would you not like to have to do without' question Grin
