TASSIMO are looking for 22 Mumsnetters who enjoy a cuppa or two, to test out their TASSIMO Vivy hot drinks machine.

Here’s what TASSIMO say, “Whether you’re a Latte Lover or a Cappuccino Connoisseur, TASSIMO has all your favourite drinks from the brands you love. Imagine having Costa, Cadbury, Kenco, Twinings, Milka, Carte Noire and Suchard on your doorstep!

The new TASSIMO Vivy is the perfect addition to any kitchen thanks to its petite size and compact design. The latest addition to the TASSIMO range offers the same flexibility and choice as a standard TASSIMO coffee machine but with a much smaller footprint.
The TASSIMO Vivy is the most compact machine in the range. Designed for those that love coffee shop quality hot drinks at home but need something a little more discreet the Vivy allows for those with smaller kitchens to enjoy the TASSIMO drinks they love.”

All those selected will receive a TASSIMO Vivy (T12) worth £99.99 and four packs of T DISCs, including a tea, coffee and hot chocolate option to use. Testers will be required to test out the TASSIMO Vivy and range of hot drinks over the course of 10 days and leave feedback on a feedback thread on Mumsnet, so please only sign up if you’re available over the next couple of weeks.

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters. If you’re interested please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I'm not sure if my survey went through as my internet went weird, is it possible to check? Thanks if you can!

Sleepytea Mon 24-Mar-14 09:56:06

I am becoming a coffee shop addict and think my bank manager would be very grateful if I could test one of these machines.

Girlboymummy Mon 24-Mar-14 10:03:32

I have filled out the survey and hopefully will be chosen.
I have been eyeing up tassimo machines for a while now

rubyslippers Mon 24-Mar-14 10:04:49

Oooh - have entered

Glitterfairys Mon 24-Mar-14 10:10:44

Fingers crossed smile

BellaVida Mon 24-Mar-14 10:11:42

Done- would be a great late birthday present if I get chosen! ;-)

I d love to know whether its one those machines you adore and earn its place on the worktop, or whether its one that sits and gathers dust.

LyndaCartersBigPants Mon 24-Mar-14 10:14:44

Signed up. Hope there are some good decaf options too.

meala Mon 24-Mar-14 10:19:54

Great! This would be a fab test to be involved in.

CoshNCuddle Mon 24-Mar-14 10:20:04

Signed up! smile

whohasnickedmyvodka Mon 24-Mar-14 10:20:22

I would love to test this as I have a broken leg I could actually make my own coffee and not rely on a flask of coffee during the day please pick me

Floralnomad Mon 24-Mar-14 10:22:29

Signed up ,my DH would particularly love this .

ThePearShapedToad Mon 24-Mar-14 10:24:38

Have entered the survey but the link didn't go to the usual "thank you" screen- just flicked back to the main product tests page. Hope it went through

Signed up, fingers crossed I get picked grin

Primrose123 Mon 24-Mar-14 10:29:37

Yes, I've signed up too but didn't get any confirmation, it just went to a different page.

I would love to be chosen, I spend way to much on shop-brought coffees and have looked at machines before but my kitchen is tiny. This sounds perfect grin

crazykat Mon 24-Mar-14 10:39:55

I've signed up. Hope it went through as it went straight to products test page too.

PLEASE!! I'm jealous of DP's Nespresso. I love tea and hot choc (so does the boy!) but we don't get good things like this!

DesiderataDisciple Mon 24-Mar-14 11:14:15

I've signed up. You have no idea how much I crave one of these machines. I love cappuccino and have tried every sachet style version on the market over the years (none of them were nice enough to make me buy them again) bought a special jug and milk frother whizzy thing which was way more hassle than it was worth and has been abandoned, even have forlorn looking special cups/latte glasses in the cupboard waiting to be used.

I so need a machine to take away that hassle and produce a tasty drink. I've heard that these are easy to operate/clean so with any luck Dh who loves hot drinks will also agree to ditch the cafetiere & teapot.

Please pick me.

SG1976 Mon 24-Mar-14 11:17:47

Constantly brewing tea and coffee with the kettle and a pot. Curious to see if a machine can produce decent cuppas, whilst saving time (and who has enough of that?!). Like the idea that this is a compact model (as whose kitchen isn't already short on space with kitchen gadets and kid's knick-knackery filling every crevice) - I for one have no room for a hulking great vending machine! Given te opportunity would love to test drive the Tassimo Vivy.

mumsbe Mon 24-Mar-14 13:15:50

Would love this im a coffee monster but cant get out as much to coffee shops having kids would be nice to get them off to bed with a hot chocolate and for me to put my feet up with a mocha or whatever I fancy

Fillybuster Mon 24-Mar-14 13:30:53

Ooh, would love to try this - it would be amazing to be able to make a really good cup of coffee when working from home without all the fuss and mess involved in using the cafetiere or espresso maker. And it would be quick and just make 1 cup too....<dreams>

JoanneNDubz Mon 24-Mar-14 14:37:41

I would love to try this.
As a single mum of 2 teenagers and a mum of an over 21 year old and my 2 year old grandson all living with me with no other help ,it's very rare I get a rest!
So I'd love this to see how nice and quick the cuppas are.

Done, not sure it went through though as directed me back to the first page.

Tistheseasontobedramatic Mon 24-Mar-14 14:48:38

Hi Mumsnet,

I filled in all the details but sent before I could add anything at the final stage.
Could you check if it's gone through please?

IamtheZombie Mon 24-Mar-14 14:49:03

Zombie has entered. She needs one of these. She really, really does.

[pleadingZombieEyesemoticon]

stinap Mon 24-Mar-14 14:52:36

Definitely interested, whilst working from home, it would be lovely to have a 'nicer' coffee now and then. I did register but was returned to the same page much like other mumsnetters ?

ThedementedPenguin Mon 24-Mar-14 14:56:41

Have entered. Would love to test one.

HappyMum4 Mon 24-Mar-14 14:59:10

Would love to try this out, love the size as our kitchen is painfully short on worktop space, have always wanted to try a pod machine as we are massive coffee lovers. Great bonus to do hot choc for kids on a chilly day too.

onlyjoking Mon 24-Mar-14 15:01:37

I've entered, but i would rather you chose Zombie than I, Zombies need coffee, it's a well known fact.

StainlessSteelCat Mon 24-Mar-14 15:02:31

Please please please pod fairy. I run on caffeine, and I'd love not to have instant at home.

beatmum Mon 24-Mar-14 15:04:37

I'd love to try this.
Am a great coffee and tea lover and constantly trying to make a better brew.
Hope this machine can beat 'em all.

Carlyrichards Mon 24-Mar-14 15:09:23

I have also signed up (I think) - also directed me to the first page. Would love to try this.

TessTackle Mon 24-Mar-14 15:13:41

Desperate for one of these!

momscribe Mon 24-Mar-14 15:18:21

Done! Hope Mumsnet team got my entry. Looking forward to try one soon smile

Done! Fingers crossed.

ThistledownAndCobweb Mon 24-Mar-14 15:41:30

I'd love this.
My sister stayed in a hotel with a Tassimo machine in her room last year and she said that was the best part of the holiday!

lorka Mon 24-Mar-14 16:23:38

Oooh yes please. Xgrin

derektheladyhamster Mon 24-Mar-14 16:30:00

MyLeftElbow Mon 24-Mar-14 16:31:10

I've signed up, we love our coffee in the morning - and it would be really good to try a machine for a change!

PickleMobile Mon 24-Mar-14 16:42:04

Fingers crossed, I have yet found a machine that makes a decent cup of tea.

mimiasovitch Mon 24-Mar-14 16:43:28

I've wanted one of these type machines for ages. Here's hoping grin

TeamSwitzerland Mon 24-Mar-14 16:50:50

Have signed up! Might make me a coffee junkie ever more now lol wink

cedar12 Mon 24-Mar-14 16:55:16

Crumpledandcreased Mon 24-Mar-14 17:00:09

Kudzugirl Mon 24-Mar-14 17:28:28

Signed up.

BadMissM Mon 24-Mar-14 18:01:11

Would love to try this out...have never had a Tassimo but I've heard they are amazing! Plus with a small baby I need that amount of caffeine to keep me going!!

starfishmummy Mon 24-Mar-14 18:06:56

I have entered. I only ever get to test cleaning things so crossing everything

MissBattleaxe Mon 24-Mar-14 18:13:52

Filled in the survey. Fingers crossed. I have been shopping around for a coffee pod machine and am in the middle of comparing a few. The Tassimo was on my shortlist.

DurhamDurham Mon 24-Mar-14 18:16:18

My Tassimo brings all Mumsnetters to the yard,
And I'm like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge....

I would LOVE a Tassimo coffee maker, I love coffee and my kitchen could do with a smart bit of kit!! gringrin

ChaffinchOfDoom Mon 24-Mar-14 18:45:11

oooh Brilliant test! fingers crossed ...

Dillydollydaydream Mon 24-Mar-14 19:00:59

Ooh. Sounds good.

whatwoulddexterdo Mon 24-Mar-14 19:03:13

Done really hope I win, everything crossed!

.

idleweiss Mon 24-Mar-14 19:44:45

This would be amazing! Have been eyeing up my friend Tassimo enviously lately and have always wanted a hot drinks maker!! Sweet! smile

LilRedWG Mon 24-Mar-14 19:48:26

Forgot to say, I also have a teeny kitchen which won't fit other makes/models easily.

woolypigs Mon 24-Mar-14 20:31:20

Entered too. I always love a good excuse for a coffee.

Done.

Would be boon for me...<the woman who is still bearing the scars of aprevious hot choc making incident that ended with an ambulance ride shock blush>

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear Mon 24-Mar-14 21:04:08

Fingers crossed!!! I'd love one of these.

QueenofallIsee Mon 24-Mar-14 21:08:52

nicename Mon 24-Mar-14 21:17:12

furlinedsheepskinjacket Mon 24-Mar-14 21:18:51

done smile

pick me pick me pick me

i'd love to have a go

BrianButterfield Mon 24-Mar-14 21:34:50

I need this! Waiting for my filter machine to make a pot of coffee seems like an eternity with a toddler and a baby usually crying in unison while I'm desperate for my caffeine fix!

Yummymummies Mon 24-Mar-14 21:43:53

This looks like a good one! hope I get picked.smile smile

Lilliana Mon 24-Mar-14 22:00:16

Yes please! So hope i get picked

Aethelfleda Mon 24-Mar-14 22:17:57

I'm a serious tea drinker most of the day but it's instant coffee in the morning for me as can't find time for making stovetop coffee (and never have the grounds in!) this would be a great way to put quick "real" coffee into my morning.
(Though I'm not a Zombie. I hear zombies have high caffeine need at the moment...)

telsa Mon 24-Mar-14 22:50:21

Hope I am picked...I wasn't sure if the survey went through, but here's hoping....

AlpacaLypse Mon 24-Mar-14 23:00:59

There wasn't a bit in the survey asking how tiny your kitchen is. Well mine's ABSOLUTELY BLOODY MINUTE and that's the main reason the Kenwood hardly ever makes it out of the cupboard and the bread maker and the deep fat fryer both got given away to relatives.

I really really NEED a teeny tiny coffee machine.

<bats eyelashes in a pathetic attempt to look cute>

AlwaysOutnumberedNevaOutgunned Mon 24-Mar-14 23:16:51

coffee snob at your service grin

GirlFromTheNorthCountry Tue 25-Mar-14 01:38:51

Done. Seem to live off caffeine at the moment, so this would be a bonus!

BobaFetaCheese Tue 25-Mar-14 06:51:10

Done.
What AlpacaLypse said, but with cuter eyelash batting grin

Have signed up but for Dh rather than me. I'd be the best wife ever if we could test it.

Oh didn't realise it was a teeny one, even better as we don't have much room. Dh works from home so drinks tea/coffee all day and I'd be happy to try the hot choc so plenty of testing opportunities. So pick me please.

Fubsy Tue 25-Mar-14 08:44:19

I'm looking for the perfect quick cup of coffee - came to coffee drinking late, through a stressful time at work, and unfortunately started with Costa lattes, so a mug of instant doesn't quite cut it! Born coffee snob!

JustCallMeBaldrick Tue 25-Mar-14 10:30:26

Signed up :-) I asked for a coffee machine for Christmas, but Santa didn't deliver <sob>

Northernexile Tue 25-Mar-14 11:09:08

Would love to try this- I have a Nespresso but I think the coffee comes out too colds love Costa too. <pwetty pwease>

Hanginggardenofboobylon Tue 25-Mar-14 12:30:07

Have signed up, would love to be chosen, I spend far too much money in Costa, I work from home so need decent coffee. Getting in the car to go get a decent cup is costing me a fortune!!!

MNHQ - when will we know if we've been chosen, please?

we have no costa, Starbucks or even a coffee shop here, I feel deprived!

SweetPeaPods Tue 25-Mar-14 15:10:33

Would love to test fingers crossed

MichelleMumsnet (MNHQ) Tue 25-Mar-14 15:15:42

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius testers will be selected early next week.
To all those worried that your form hasn't gone through because it's directing you back to the Mumsnet insight page, not to worry, we've got them!

Thanks, Michelle! I can keep my fingers crossed until then! grin

Milliways Tue 25-Mar-14 21:30:13

Done! I have been given an old but HUGE machine so would love a more modern easy to use one.

MmeButterfly Tue 25-Mar-14 21:41:47

Me and my husband would love to try one of these after trying nearly every brand of instant coffee that claims to be like fresh coffee at home. We quite like Azera but to be honest nothing really cuts it. We also have a very small kitchen so try not to buy appliances but i'm sure we could find room for this. We're unlikely to buy one though especially at the moment as my DH has been made redundant and I'm a student.

mumnosbest Tue 25-Mar-14 22:39:45

would love to hide this and let DH think I'd finally learnt to make good coffee smile

MrJollyLivesNextDoor Tue 25-Mar-14 22:45:16

tiredoutgran Wed 26-Mar-14 12:07:22

I've entered and I really hope we're chosen. I forgot to mention in my form that we have a tiny 6x8ft kitchen for 7 of us (3 adults) due to the house being an ex-student house so counter space is very tight. Mumsnet - pretty please could you add this in for me?

Oh me please! FIL and BIL rave about theirs. I'd love to see if the Costa drinks taste as good as Costa shop made ones. It would save me a fortune if they do grin

AmazingDisgrace Wed 26-Mar-14 16:27:21

Really really want to try this! We have a DeLonghi one that uses fresh coffee rather than pods but its not a patch on our old Kenwood retro so we're still on the hunt for a good coffee machine.
We also make hot drinks for customers at work but its a Nespresso and they don't do hot chocolate pods which is blooming annoying. If I like the Vivy at home I'll trial it at work too and consider changing our Nespresso for one of these

difficultpickle Thu 27-Mar-14 09:43:46

Hopeful, although our local Costa will notice the drop in profits if I'm successful grin

LadyMcFish Thu 27-Mar-14 09:44:19

I would love to try this. Being pregnant at 31 weeks and with a 3.5 years old, I have cravings for coffee, tea, hot chocolate throughout the day. So it would be nice to try out how convenient this little gadget is :D Also we have a very small kitchen blush

really1234 Thu 27-Mar-14 12:25:17

How are these things selected? I always wonder if filling in the form is enough or you are meant to post on these threads too and almost 'beg' for a chance?
So, does posting here make a difference to selection MNHQ?
Thanks

Chigley1 Thu 27-Mar-14 12:26:19

Signed up, sounds fantastic. Wonder if they have decaff?

Heathcliff27 Thu 27-Mar-14 16:47:50

Signed up. I have an older style Tassimo and love love it! Would love the chance to try out the new one.

Nittyb Thu 27-Mar-14 16:48:52

Yes please !! :-)

Aethelfleda Thu 27-Mar-14 16:49:33

really, I suspect it's random selection, though people like to show their involvement and of course it's all good to stimulate discussion....
(and yes chigley my MIL has one of these (lives abroad) and they do decaf pods. one of their "selling points" is they offer big brands like Costa, Cadbury's etc with the ease of use of a pod. theory being you don't mind spending 50p a cup if it tastes exactly like the £2.50 drink you would buy in Costa....

Millipedewithherfeetup Thu 27-Mar-14 16:57:47

Pick me, me, me me, me, me !

pennwood Thu 27-Mar-14 18:00:04

When we went to Center Parcs last year my daughter took their Tassimo machine on holiday with us - speaks volumes about the quality & taste of the drinks!

alialiath Thu 27-Mar-14 18:10:47

As someone who has a constant, unquenchable thirst, due to a medical condition, and has always got a mug of coffee to hand, I'd love the opportunity to test and give an honest and unbiased review on the
TASSIMO Vivy hot drinks machine.

I would love to try this, I need Coffee to get through the day some days! this would be bliss

incogKNEEto Thu 27-Mar-14 18:32:29

Would love to try this out as a friend has a Tassimo machine and says it's fab, have filled in survey form, so fingers crossed smile

HOPE I CAN TRY PART

mjmooseface Sat 29-Mar-14 00:04:15

At the tender age of 22, I still have yet to try a drink of coffee! I grew up in a religious house hold where tea and coffee were a no-no! When I finally realised I had a mind of my own and left the religion, I tried tea and found that with a bit of milk and sugar, I actually really like it! I'm a bit nervous to try coffee as I like the smell of the drink but hate the taste in chocolates!! I figured this would be a great opportunity to finally try coffee and for it to be a good quality one! I love hot chocolate and tea and so would get lots of use out of it with those options! And if it turns out I like coffee too, then even better!!

helenthemadex Sat 29-Mar-14 14:35:49

hanbee Mon 31-Mar-14 22:00:20

I've been picked, first time since October. Going off to get over the excitement with a little lie down now. <need a hyperventilating emotion>

At least I am in good company, HoneyDragon. If you pop round, I'll make coffee in my far superior coffee maker and I'll make cake too.

HoneyDragon Mon 31-Mar-14 22:32:32

grin I'm in SDTG

HoneyDragon Mon 31-Mar-14 22:33:19

Sorry I'm in for coffee and cake at yours.

I'm not in the selection. In case I confuse the organisers.

SandWitch Tue 01-Apr-14 09:42:56

Well done all that got picked. Looking forward to reading your reviews. Might be tempted to buy one for dh for Father's Day if it gets the thumbs up.

FourAndDone Wed 02-Apr-14 20:40:24

So follow testers, when do you think we will receive them?smile

PickleMobile Wed 02-Apr-14 20:48:55

I'm hoping tomorrow or Friday four. I can't wait!

HappySunflower Wed 02-Apr-14 21:09:27

I am stupidly excited about this. I've wanted one of these for so long but couldn't justify the cost!!

I'm hoping they they arrive by the weekend smile

RunningKatie Wed 02-Apr-14 21:23:38

I even looked at the cost of the pods thingies in the supermarket today, wondering which ones we'll get sent. DH has looked at the website working out what he fancies!

FourAndDone Thu 03-Apr-14 07:09:43

Yes that would be lovely to have a nice coffee on Saturday morning!
Do they do the costa pods for this machine does anybody know?smile

HoneyDragon - I made bananana, walnut and date loaf yesterday - when shall I expect you?

RunningKatie Thu 03-Apr-14 08:35:20

It's here! grin

Is it wrong that i want to clean the kitchen to unpack the shininess into?! wink

FourAndDone Thu 03-Apr-14 09:02:51

Wow that was fast! Rushing home from school now!wink

poppy1973 Thu 03-Apr-14 10:08:18

FourAndDone Thu 03-Apr-14 10:44:30

PickleMobile Thu 03-Apr-14 11:05:38

We've been sent suchards hot choc, twinings breakfast tea, kenco coffee and an espresso type coffee.

HappySunflower Thu 03-Apr-14 11:14:04

Hopefully mine will be left with my helpful neighbour as I'm at work!

RunningKatie Thu 03-Apr-14 12:22:05

FourAndDone Thu 03-Apr-14 13:22:32

But I'll drink for the sake of the test!grin

Filimou Thu 03-Apr-14 15:12:48

FourAndDone Thu 03-Apr-14 16:20:30

Have re arranged delivery for tomorrow, still have to go out on school run twice though.blush
Was looking forward to a us hard tonight.sad

RunningKatie Thu 03-Apr-14 16:51:07

On the bright side four, you can join in the kitchen cleaning tonight in advance of its arrival! wink

For the purposes of research i have had a coffee in m&s today so i can compare quality. grin

poppy1973 Thu 03-Apr-14 17:21:36

I have just tried the tea and the hot chocolate with the children.

We were all so excited.

PickleMobile Thu 03-Apr-14 19:08:40

I've had a hot chocolate and DH had a coffee. You don't get much of a drink, going to keep the water coming next time and add milk to bulk it up. Going to try a tea when I get the baby down.

I've also just spent £12.07 on more pods off the Tassimo website with my £20 off! blush

minmooch Thu 03-Apr-14 19:11:04

Mine has arrived! Tried mine out already - easy and delicious. But when and where do we fill on the feedback?

watfordmummy Fri 04-Apr-14 13:22:43

Mine was see delivered yesterday!!

Ds2 loves the hot chocolate, but ds1 didn't like it and dh thought the coffee bitter.

Very excited to be part of this trial. Machine itself is a good size (not too big) but looking at the price of the pods think would only use it for 'posh' if I had to buy them myself!! shock

FourAndDone Fri 04-Apr-14 17:13:12

My machine got re-delivered today!
I love the size.
I have already used my £20 vouchers and ordered extra pods.
I have also ordered new mugs as I didn't think mine looked right!blush

RunningKatie Fri 04-Apr-14 17:18:28

Have i missed a voucher? I've not seen one sad

bluebump Fri 04-Apr-14 17:21:01

I was chosen too! We've so far tried 3 out of the 4 pods. I'm not sure I got a voucher either unless it was on some of the literature, i'll have a look...

FourAndDone Fri 04-Apr-14 17:49:04

Ladies go on the tassimo website, you get the option to register your machine and they email you a voucher to spend on the website.smile

Driveway Fri 04-Apr-14 18:47:24

We aren't meant to add or official feedback here are we?
I don't want to miss doing what I'm meant to do!

FourAndDone Fri 04-Apr-14 19:32:39

No driveway, MNHQ will email is when the feedback thread is live.smile

bluebump Fri 04-Apr-14 20:24:57

Thanks Four, i'm all registered now and looking at the website wondering what to try next!

FourAndDone Fri 04-Apr-14 20:45:18

It's free delivery over £35 so that swung it for me! Otherwise delivery is £5.smile

RunningKatie Fri 04-Apr-14 21:03:33

What mugs did you get fouranddone?

DH wants cappuccino and I was going to look for some decaff coffee. It's amazing how quickly you can spend £20!

FourAndDone Fri 04-Apr-14 21:53:54

I got the tall latte/cappuccino from tassimo.smile

I didnt then order four glass tea mugs from amazon oh no!shockgrin

IamtheZombie Fri 11-Apr-14 20:20:45
