Pampers are looking for 1,000 MNers to try their New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies with their babies and give feedback on MN. Here is what Pampers say: "At Pampers we love learning about what you think of our products which is why we'd like you to try our Pampers Baby-Dry nappy, now with an improved Extra Sleep Layer for up to 12 hours of overnight dryness. We look forward to your review!"

This is open to all UK MNers who have a baby currently wearing size 3 or 4 nappies. Everyone who is selected will receive a carry pack of 30 nappies in either size 3 or 4 (depending on which you select in the survey below). If you're unsure of the sizing, here's some more info:

Size 3: 4-9kg/9-20lbs

Size 4: 7-18kg/15-40lbs

All testers will also receive a letter containing a money off coupon for Pampers Baby-Dry.

Everyone who takes part and adds their feedback to a thread on MN will be entered into a prize draw to win a Love2Shop voucher to the value of £250.

Please sign up here if you'd like to take part.

Thanks
MNHQ

Done!

I must say Pampers were one of the worst brands for leaking when DD was a newborn/small baby. I'd be interested to see if they're any better now she's bigger... and if they still have that awful chemical smell!

NotSoNervous Mon 15-Apr-13 11:53:51

Done smile

FoxyRevenger Mon 15-Apr-13 11:54:01

Done!

It would be good to find a brand for my son that doesn't regularly leak. Wonder if it is a boy/girl thing as my daughter never had this problem.

Done.

DD2 leaks nearly every night in own brand nappies. Interested to see if the extra cost is worth it.

WingDefence Mon 15-Apr-13 12:01:59

Drat - DD is in size 2s and still a lb off size 3s. Can I apply and save them for when she gets larger?! grin

NoobytheWaspSlayer Mon 15-Apr-13 12:05:34

Done - I normally use Lidls 'toujours' nappies, so I'm interested to see if pampers perform better.

Done. I stopped using baby dry with dd1 when they changed them and seemed to make them thinner and IMHO less effective. I'd be interested to see if they've improved.

greathat Mon 15-Apr-13 12:07:54

My son is regularly leaking from his nappy too! Like Foxy I didn't have this problem with my daughter. Or is it just that they have tried to save money on nappy making since my oldest was in nappies

Done. I stopped using baby dry with dd1 when they changed them and seemed to make them thinner and IMHO less effective. I'd be interested to see if they've improved.

PooFlower Mon 15-Apr-13 12:11:46

Done, I would love to find a nappy that doesn't leak overnight.

JimbosJetSet Mon 15-Apr-13 12:15:42

Done. At 6 months old I am still having to change DS nappy once in the night otherwise he is soaked through by the morning. I never had this problem with DD, regardless of the brand I used.

PregnantPain Mon 15-Apr-13 12:22:12

Once again the survey will not let me add the options. Not sure why this is sad

Icelollycraving Mon 15-Apr-13 12:25:56

Bum. Ds in size 5. We use baby dry, they are great.

NirvanaSmellsLikeTeenMother Mon 15-Apr-13 12:30:51

Done, always use pampers anyway. They fit DD the best and only had leakage once when she was a newborn, and in my sleep deprived state I had put the nappy on backwards grin

Can't fault pampers!

GrandPoohBah Mon 15-Apr-13 13:06:15

Done - I use Aldi nappies as they're cheap and do the job but a free nappy is a free nappy!

BedHog Mon 15-Apr-13 13:16:56

Done. I wish they'd stop using that 'Golden Sleep' catchphrase though, just makes me think of babies sleeping in their own piss, and also the dubious 'Golden Showers'. <boak>

TheDeadlyDonkey Mon 15-Apr-13 13:29:49

Done, but there's no way they'll pick me to test, as I slated them!
We stopped using them for ds3, as they were terrible when he was little.

threesypeesy Mon 15-Apr-13 13:53:13

Done. There the only brand she has not leaked through, she pees a lot!! Huggids are god awful and broke her bum out

ChasingStaplers Mon 15-Apr-13 13:56:15

Bar the explosive poos, we don't really have a leakage problem but ds2 hates having a wet/dirty nappy. Neither his brother or sister were like this but it means it sometimes wakes him up.
Would love to see if these new baby dry nappies can stop him fussing. then I can use the bedside cot as a cot, rather than a nappy store!

HellcatMomma Mon 15-Apr-13 14:08:31

DeathMetalMum Mon 15-Apr-13 16:22:06

Done. Pampers never suited dd1 so will be interested to see if they suit dd2. Luckily she is big enough for size 3's alredy at 4 weeks. grin

lunar1 Mon 15-Apr-13 17:04:29

Done, I currently use active fit and we never have overnight leaks (unless dh has out the nappy on)

lunar1 Mon 15-Apr-13 17:06:46

Can you check I put size 4 on mine, I can't remember ticking the box!

harderthanitlooks Mon 15-Apr-13 17:17:34

This would be great DD is in size 4.

iclaudius Mon 15-Apr-13 17:18:51

Done it but forgot to sign in here - size 4

Puddlelane Mon 15-Apr-13 17:32:56

Done! I need a non leaking nappy!

fishybits Mon 15-Apr-13 17:51:27

I use Pampers Baby Dry at night and they are great but there is no way I could afford to use them the whole time. I use supermarket brands during the day.

schmalex Mon 15-Apr-13 18:02:17

Already tried them. They gave my DD a horrible nappy rash, which cleared up overnight when we switched to a supermarket own brand.

glorious Mon 15-Apr-13 18:07:55

Done. Haven't used pampers since newborn size as I discovered Aldi. Would be interested to see if these are better.

Done!

DrMcDreamysWife Mon 15-Apr-13 18:50:52

Done, been using supermarket but we've had some leaks recently so be good to know if pampers are worth it. I used the newborn ones but got cheap and started buying boots/ tescos ones.

PinkPenguin36 Mon 15-Apr-13 21:19:34

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Tue 16-Apr-13 02:55:25

Bah! Shame it's not open to older ones. DS3 is in 5+ in Pampers.

Mind you, he pees right through Pampers in under 2 hrs, so possibly not the best tester for a Pampers product.

Used Huggies for a while, but they seemingly don't exist any more (confused after at least 15 years of having DC's and having the option of Huggies).

Tesco own nappies are excellent though - only ones he doesn't pee right through!

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Tue 16-Apr-13 03:00:48

So they DID make Pampers leaky then?! It's not just me!

I almost always used Pampers for DD, DS1 and DS2, but there is a 7 year gap between DS2 and DS3, and I couldn't understand why DS3 just used to pee right through the nappy.

It was like anything more than half a teaspoon's worth of wee just went straight through Pampers now.

Tried them again when shops ran out of Huggies, but have converted to Tesco own now.

Eskarina Tue 16-Apr-13 07:12:10

Done. I had problems selecting the options too- I had to switch from chrome to safari to make it work

Would love to see if these could stop leaks in the middle of the night!
I have a very active DD and we are having lots of wet sheets in the early hours.

Haven't done, but i find it really ironic that this is launched during Real Nappy Week!

To all those having leakage problems - you should consider using reusables - i've been using cloth now for almost five years, on four children, and i've never had a leakage issue.

iclaudius Tue 16-Apr-13 17:58:53

Very boring but I must be theist tried and tested pampers user this decade! I've NEVER had a night leak problem with baby dry - yes with the cheapie orange ones or active fit but not baby dry!

done i love pampers have tried every brand and none compare but in an attempt to save money i use simply dry instead of baby dry but my youngest seems to get wet quickly and gets uncomfortable quickly.

PastaBeeandCheese Tue 16-Apr-13 21:20:32

Done. We get on great with Pampers Baby Dry so hope they don't change for the worse.

Done

Signed up. I currently use Just4Bums, from kiddicare, because they are cheap, and get delivered to my door! They don't always last the night though, so who knows, these may turn me into a Pampers convert!

Cacacaz Wed 17-Apr-13 06:52:18

Done!

ItsallisnowaFeegle Wed 17-Apr-13 19:17:51

Done smile would like to see if I can get away without a nappy change through the night....I wonder....

grannyagedmummy Wed 17-Apr-13 20:03:33

I would like to try these. I have a 12 year age gap so to see how nappies have progressed from the old ones that used to leak and make baby's bottoms feel wet all the time and constant nappy rash would be fab. My little boy is 13 months but a dot and still in size 4 nappies and drinks lots so lots if wee!!

Done. We use simply dry (the cheaper ones!) or supermarket own brands and sometimes (due to weeing like a horse and sleeping on his front) we get a damp patch by his tummy.

Done, but I'm a bit confused about this new baby dry. I'm fairly sure I already use baby dry for my DD. It looks the same colour as the one in the ad on the right side. So is this a 'new and improved' baby dry?

TheOtherHelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 18-Apr-13 16:04:13

Used to use pampers, but they started leaking... Will be interested to see if this makes any difference.

As for the "12 hours golden sleep" comment - that's rubbish. 11-5 counts as 'sleeping through' until they are a few years old. I understand this is part of a marketing scheme etc, but reinforcing the anxiety that parents feel about their child 'should' be going 12 hours isn't helpful.

harderthanitlooks Sat 20-Apr-13 07:26:05

duchesse Sun 21-Apr-13 22:29:52

I started filling this one in as DD3 is still in nappies at night and weighs 13 kg so still in tiddly nappies.

However, I gave up halfway through as I found the format of the survey so nauseating, and could just see the quote "8 out of 10 mums in a survey said they trusted Pampers Baby-dry to bring 12 hours of Golden Sleep TM to their baby", and I felt utterly manipulated.

I actually buy pampers nappies for overnight use for DD3 and this survey was almost enough to make me switch to a different brand. Sorry.

My DD is just over 6 months and we use pampers baby dry and asda little angels in 4+ as these claim to be extra absorbent. Personally, I have yet to find a nappy that doesn't leak. We've had no joy with 4+ so the normal 4's don't stand a chance.

JaneyLou84 Mon 22-Apr-13 13:56:58

Done -i think? My son is in size 4 would be interesting to give them ago. He is currently wearing size 4 pull ups as these seemed a more snug fit.
