That was an odd selection of shops though.

None anywhere near me. Didn't spot many on the south west at all.

None near me, either. Although there's a huge Tesco Extra not far away.

Perhaps they are after a certain demographic.

Well that was a surprise. I fully expected to find that the one store on the island was not listed but it IS - so hopefully that is a sign. Bit of a trek to the other side of the island to buy but maybe a trip to the beach on the way would be a good idea.

Thanks SpareTime, but I'm in the north west, My closest towns are Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven, Keswick and Cockermouth (or Nob-a-gob as the locals call it ). Baguley is hours away down south from here, but thanks anyway

How much cheese is a month's worth?

Oooo, we could easily eat several kilos worth! DS and I are cheese monsters

What an odd selection of shops - the only one near me (Manchester) is in a store which is failing badly as it is so big the locals can't walk round it, and now go by bus to a competitor -maybe it's a ploy to get us into shops that aren't getting enough custom.

I use a different tesco, and 8 tubes of cheese ain't going to be worth the petrol.

5 stores in Yorkshire, two of which are in that massive urban

That massive urban metropolis, York, and one in Hull, the arse end of nowhere (no offense intended to the good citizens of Hull and its environs). Only one store in the whole of the hugely populated Leeds/Bradford conurbation?
Sorry, but it would take more than a few free bits of cheese to encourage me to use Tesco online.

I give my child cheese sticks in their lunch box, cut from a large block. We reckon it works out less than a quarter of the price of nonsense string cheese etc.

I'm a cheese lover. I really am. But cheese sticks? Really? This is the next big thing in cheese? Small sticks of cheese in yet more packaging? What's wrong with cutting a wedge of cheese off the one in the fridge, wrapping it in reusable tin foil, and lobbing in the DC's lunch boxes?

Having said that - if they want to give some away for free, then who are we to say no?

I got a letter today from MU cheese saying thanks for taking part but there were no vouchers, I assume they meant to send the vouchers with the letter???

Just a quick note for all of you selected...

I found them in my local Tesco store today- which wasn't actually one of the branches listed.
They were not in the usual chilled cabinet with all the other cheese stick/string type products.
They were at the end of an aisle in a separate silver fridge thing, so it's definitely worth asking and looking around a bit more.

Well I have looked for them in my local Tesco, which was on the list of shops where they were available and cannot find them. They had Mu blocks of cheese, Mu slices of cheese and Mu grated cheese, but not these.

I also looked in another huge Tesco nearby, not sure if it was on the list or not, but it had all the other products but not the cheddar sticks.

Is there a distribution problem? Will we be able to buy them soon?

Sunflower - I had seen your message so looked in every single fridge in the shop, and they weren't there. I asked and member of staff said "everything we have is out on the shelves". There were no gaps, and I even checked the shelf labels in case they were out of stock.
