The folks at Philips know ironing can be a chore and would like to share the time-saving benefits of its Pressurised Steam Generators with you over a buffet lunch. Guinness World Record Holder for 'Endurance Ironing', Ben Walton will dazzle you with his speedy technique and if you bring along up to five items of clothing, he'll even do your ironing for you.
Everyone who attends the event will receive a pampering goody bag on the day PLUS they will be sent, after the event, a Philips Pressurised Steam Generator Iron worth around £200!
The event is being held:
On: Friday 23 April
At: 11.30am - 2.30pm
In: Folgate Street, London, E1 (5 mins walk from Liverpool Street station).
You'll need to be able to stay for the whole session. Philips regret no childcare will be provided but you are welcome to bring babies or small children if needed - you will just need to keep them with you & provide their lunch.
Travel expenses (up to £30) will be paid.
If you are interested in attending and available on the day please complete your details here
All we ask in return is that you post feedback on Mumsnet about how you're getting on with the Pressurised Steam Generator at home.
Thanks and good luck.

Ooooh, I'd love a snazzy new iron. I used to have an ironing lady when I worked full-time but can't really justify one now. My ironing mountain is so big that it currently fills three clothes baskets
.
Would love to go to this - would need to iron some potential outfits for me and DD to look presentable in of course. I'm motivated to iron already
.
I have filled in the survey twice and each time it has said "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" when I clicked the button to send it. How do I know if it has been received? I would really like to come, I need all the encouragement I can get to do some ironing
evenstar - I can see you've done it twice!! Don't worry I'll sort it out. Thanks
Sorry it's in London - Iklboo where are you?
I'm in Manchester - slightly more than £30 travel expenses away. Not to worry
Sorry to those not nearish, we do try to do events in other places when we can - we had one in Birmingham recently for example....keep an eye out for more soon hopefully.

My DH is the ironing freak in our house - he also works very very close to Liverpool Street...Could I send him along instead of the slattern that I am??! He could report to me and I could report back on here!
pixiera - fill in the form with his details and a note about you and I will check with philips!

I would - I can get there in time, I just can't leave that late. 2pm would be fine, but 2.30pm just doesn't leave enough time to get back to pick the younger Dcs up from school
A man to do my ironing? Who could resist?
serenity - fill in the form and put this in the comment box if you like...can't promise anything mind

Annmumsnet - I missed the comments box! Well actually I wittered on about random stuff in one, but didn't realise that was the one iyswim. Can you shove a sentence in there for me, or do you want me to do it again?
I'm useless. Sorry
serenity - have added in you'd have to leave at 2pm to your form, don't worry! Tis the same place as the kodak event. Thanks.

Dh has REFUSED to take part in a MN event, he is too scared busy at work!
I have however filled this in for me - I HATE ironing though and do as little as possible (ie what DH leaves).
I would be interested to see what a difference this super dooper iron makes as we currently use a cheapo one that I got in tescos.....
Can someone explain to me what this 'ironing' is. I think my grandmother used to talk of it sometimes.
