This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

Testers, please ensure that you have completed this survey and left feedback below to be entered into the £300 Love2Shop voucher prize draw.

Below are some questions, but feel free to add any other comments you have regarding your testing of Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate:

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

Thanks,

MNHQ

I didn't notice any vast difference in the product. The first time I used it I measured out the correct dose but after washing the clothes didn't smell or feel like conditioner had been added. So I'm using the amount id normally use which would make it expensive, unless it was on offer I wouldn't buy again.
Liked the smell, but always have done

Overall I really like this, the smell is lovely and fresh. I found it quite overpowering in the bottle (since it is concentrated obviously!) but on the clothes it wasn't at all. It is less subtle than my usual fabric softener but for me that is great. For others they would probably find it a little strong. My clothes do feel softer as well.

I also really like the bottle, it is much easier to pour with the spout, my usual conditioner doesn't have this.

All in all I like it a lot and will buy it in future.

  1. A compact version of the normal comfort pure. Nice shape and smell.

  1. It made my whole flat smell nice when in use and my clothes soft. I really like that I only need to use a little amount.

I enjoyed using comfort pure ultra concentrate. I liked the size of the bottle and the scent of the laundry after it had been washed. After I had taken it in when dried, I found the scent and the softness is still there.
It also seems very good value for money at only 8p per wash. Bargain! Flowers

  1. Nice to have a smaller bottle as easier to store and more likely to use multi buy offers because of this

  1. Liked the smell not being overly floral as most seemed to be floral scented

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

nice compact bottle makes for easy storage.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

i have so far done 3 washes-
it was very easy to pour out using the spout and lid.
i have used the fabric conditioner 3 times and haven't felt such a difference as id hoped.
the smell is there but only very very feint.
the clothes feel slightly softer but nothing major.

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I liked the fact the bottle was very compact. I have limited space in my kitchen, so this slotted in nicely. The pouring cap was easy to use, and the conditioner had a pleasant smell.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I found when I used half a measurement, the smell was not as strong as I'd usually like. But it suited baby clothes, and delicates.

Liked the compactness of the product. Also can find some fabric conditioners clog up drawer of washing machine so the fact this doesn't do this is a plus.

Lovely smell, not cheap.

I love Comfort, it reminds me of my mum. Unfortunately I didn't really like this, I found having to turn the bottle to align the nozzle a bit of a pain as with the larger bottles you just pour and go.

I didn't like the smell and to be honest I didn't find my laundry very soft!

I will stick to my comfort blue skies concentrate for now.

Thanks for letting me try it though!

1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Seemed very good quality and I liked the bottle design.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I liked the smaller bottle and the softness.

I didn't love the smell or the lid for measuring it was a little awkward.

The overall impression is good. The smell is very strong after wash. The clothing feel soft.

I don't really like the bottle. It is too chunky to hold and the plastic bottle is too soft. I accidentally tips some solutions over as I hold it too tight. The lid is not great.

Just got my first load in now. Smells just like any other conditioner. Have to wait till it finishes for a softness and smell update

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? Great size as takes up less room in the cupboard. Smells great and made the clothes feel nice. Really liked it

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why? Size mostly. The smell. I would poss only buy on offer as I don't stick to certain brands.

I have used comfort pure since my son was a baby, so I like the smell already and know that is fine for our skin. I like the smaller pack as we have such a small amount of storage.
I had trouble working out the dose in the cap as the only measure was 20ml which is neither the small or larger dose, but the diagram on the bottle made it clearer. However I have an 11kg machine so had to add a cap and a half, so the bottle won't last as long for me. If the 38 washes is based on a half cap, it will only last me a third as long (tries to do maths and fails!) I think, so 12 loads or so.

Thanks for the chance to try it. :)

Just to add after reading the back, I do think it a little unfortunate that is says it is kind, gentle, sensitive, delicate and tested, and under that lists an ingredient that may cause an allergic reaction, but I guess they have to put it.

Q1. Good product, compact bottle with nice smell.

Q2. I really liked the fresh smell of this conditioner. The smaller bottle is easier to store. Suggested price of £3.30 seems a little expensive though.

Q1) I liked the overall appearance of the bottle. I liked the scent of the product. When in use, the smell filled the flat. The scent is long lasting.

Q2) I like the product overall; the scent is nice, it's long lasting and it's an attractive product. However, I find that it didn't really make my clothes feel any softer and I find the price quite expensive.

I love the smell and liked the less cumbersome bottle but I think it is quite expensive so I'll stick to the regular Comfort Pure. However, if it was on offer or I was going on holiday I'd definitely buy it.

Eggsbutnobacon · 05/05/2016 10:28

I liked the compact size of the bottle.
I couldn't detect much of a smell although this could be because it's meant for sensitive skin.

I will continue to use my comfort sunshiney days.

Also I might recommend it to my mum (aged 75) who has a sore shoulder and finds lifting heavy bottles painful.

Bottle- Liked the shape and size. Easy to hold and pour.

Smell- V pleasant in the bottle, but was disappointed that the smell was very subtle after the wash. Would be fine for baby clothes though.

Softness- Not a noticeable difference to my regular fabric softener.

Value- I always compare prices and offers. If a larger non-concentrate offered better value per wash, I would but that instead.

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I wasn't sure of the smell to be honest, I guess it smelt clean but without a fragrance, if that makes sense. I prefer more of a scent. I couldn't really tell much of a difference in softness against the supermarket brand we usually use. My DD's school polo shirts are a bit softer though and therefore seemed to iron easier too.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I couldn't unscrew the lid at first as it was too tricky to get a grip on it. I also spilt a bit as the pourer was facing the wrong way for how I was holding the bottle. I did like that the smaller height bottle fits on the shelves in my utility room.

Overall, I'm not sure I'd buy it again unless it's at a good price.

I'll update after I've done a few washes and had the clothes hanging up in the wardrobe for a day or so.
